Cicada Woman

Cicada Woman Cicada Woman provides walking tours and educational services about Australian Aboriginal spirituality.

Our passion is the complexity, sophistication and wonder of traditional Aboriginal ways of thinking about life and the world. We are about being Aboriginal Australian and being proud of it. We focus on the deep and complex traditions of our cultures, with special emphasis on our philosophies for living and finding meaning in life. We have short walking tours along a beautiful creek where you can p

ause and sense the spirit of the land, and reflect on our relationship with nature. Here too you can learn something of traditional uses of the plants for food, medicine, and other practical uses. We welcome women and men and children, school groups and anyone else. Here too you can taste some modern food using Aboriginal ingredients.

Connecting to Country for Kids. We will be holding these sessions with Aunty Kali. We are planning one for a Sunday for parents to bring kids - August 29 in Warwick and September 5 in Stanthorpe.

Kali will take them into a quiet bushy place and get them to be comfortable in the bush, see the plants and animals as valuable, smell, feel, see nature as her people see it and more. No cost.
We will keep you informed, but would appreciate it if you… See More
