Not every adventure needs to be fast paced, loud, or extreme to be memorable.

Sometimes it’s slowing down for a moment, breathing in salty ocean air, spotting wildlife in the wild, paddling quiet waterways, sharing local food with good people, and reconnecting with nature in a meaningful way.

That’s what we love most about adventure from the coastlines of the Mornington Peninsula to the snow capped high country.

From SUP safaris and snorkelling adventures, to hidden picnics, hot springs, coastal hikes and snow to surf journeys, every experience we create is designed to help people explore this special part of the world in a more conscious and connected way.

Small groups, human powered adventures, incredible local produce, and a commitment to protecting the places we explore.

Explore more. Tread lightly.

Save this for your next Peninsula adventure or message us if you’re not sure which experience suits you best.

Today, the Earth turns 56. And every single year, it asks us the same question are we showing up for it?

At WAM, Earth Day is not just a date on the calendar. It is the heartbeat behind everything we do every paddle stroke across Nerm (Port Phillip Bay), every step through the Peninsula bush, every snorkel through living marine ecosystems teeming with over 1000 species.

Founded in 1970, Earth Day now unites over one billion people around the world in tree planting, ocean cleanups, and real climate action. And this year, the focus is on something we deeply believe in community power, local action, and long term ecological sustainability.

That is exactly why we do what we do. As an Advanced Ecotourism Certified and B-Corp Certified operator, WAM was built on the belief that small businesses on small budgets can create maximum positive impact for people, wildlife, and the places we love.

So today, whether you plant a seed, skip a single-use plastic, hop on a bike, or book yourself an eco-adventure on the Mornington Peninsula, do something that honours this extraordinary planet we call home.

It starts with every person. It starts here. 🌏

Time Out Article about our Great Australian Snow to Surf Adventure:

“Skiing, surfing and a good ol’ soak sesh (at the Metung Hot Springs) – if you needed proof that this glorious southern state of ours still has a few surprises up its sleeve, this is the trip for you. Was I slightly battered and bruised afterwards? Yes. Do I have a newfound appreciation for anyone who’s into snow sports? Also yes. Would I do it all over again? Absolutely.”

Unplug Daily Routine and Recharge in Nature, book your adventure today!

"We hosted family from the UK for Christmas and wanted to show them the very best of Victoria. We chose the Ultimate Peninsula Adventure with WAM, and it was the best decision we could have made!
Nic, the founder, is a fantastic guide who went above and beyond to make us feel special. We started with Stand Up Paddleboarding - a first for some of us! Nic’s instructions were so clear that we felt comfortable and managed to stay on our boards at all times. The calm, uncrowded water made the experience feel truly exclusive. Nic took some pictures for us, which he later shared.
This was followed by a stunning coastal hike and a refreshing dip in a crystal-clear rock pool. The water was cold, but it was worth it! Again, Nic was ready to offer snorkels so we could properly explore the rock pool. After that, we enjoyed a delicious vegetarian picnic lunch made with fresh produce from a local farm, Torello. After lunch, we headed for a wine tasting. We finished the day at the Peninsula Hot Springs, leaving us feeling completely refreshed and relaxed.
We were especially impressed by Nic’s commitment to the environment and local businesses (he even provided reef-friendly sunscreen!). If we could give 10 stars, we would! We highly recommend WAM to anyone looking for an authentic Mornington Peninsula experience. We hope to come back again and try another adventure in the future." - Mon

Escape, explore, and unwind in nature’s playground with a perfectly planned day on the Mornington Peninsula.

"Cannot recommend Wild Adventures Melbourne enough! Start to finish the whole morning was a smooth transition from being picked up in the van to paddle boarding on the sea, to snorkelling, lunch by the lake and more paddle boarding. Nic was super knowledgable, eco-conscious and accommodating. We had the best time exploring Mornington peninsula all whilst doing activities. To top it all off, breakfast was a lovely selection of avo smash on fresh break and whole foods granola and strawberries. What an incredible day!" - Jessica

We are stoked to share that WAM was awarded Silver in Ecotourism at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.

It still blows our mind that this little business is receiving national recognition and we are proud to stand alongside some of the leading Ecotourism operators in each state and territory of the country.

12 months ago, WAM had never won an award, and since then we have won The National Banksia Sustainability Awards, 2 x Golds at the Victorian Tourism Awards, and now Silver at the National Tourism Awards.
This is how we lead by example and the result of years of dedication and commitment to show how a micro business on a micro budget can have maximum long term positive environmental and social impacts.

We hugely appreciate everyone that helps us deliver extraordinary eco adventures like nothing else. From our partners, suppliers, guests and tiny team, your support means the world and keeps us pushing forward.

Yours gratefully and adventurously,

Nerm (Port Phillip Bay) is such a beautiful special marine ecosystem that we all need to help protect.

Home to over 1000 species of marine plants and animals many of which are unique to the area, but this bay is under so much pressure from humans. A bay shared with a huge city, Australia’s busiest port, chemical imbalance found in dolphins, jet ski’s, boating, historical dredging of shellfish reefs, invasive kelp and much more.

It’s heartbreaking to find fishing line like this, or see injured marine life. We are sharing this to highlight what might have happened had we not found it.

WAM is committed to support the bay and projects that are doing incredible work to protect this magnificent place.

Here are some of our highlights from across 2025, Thank you to everyone near and far that was part of such a banger of a year for us.

Of course it wasn’t all sunshine and lollipops with plenty of challenges to face, but wow some of the highs were unforgettable.

What we have in store for 2026 is super exciting, new products that are world firsts, making our customers experience and adventures even better, and having an even greater environmental and social positive impact.
