Campbell Arcade, Melbourne, Victoria. Completed in 1955, one year before Melbourne hosted the Olympic Games, this vibrant Art Deco underground pedestrian passageway was full of quirky and interesting shops. All that stopped in April 2022, when it was closed as part of construction for the Metro Tunnel project. Now it has just reopened, gleaming and fresh and awaiting its next phase.

Now indelibly linked with the ANZ Gothic Bank, this historic building, designed by William Pitt, was home to city's stock exchange at a time when Melbourne was the financial centre of the colony. It is lavish and flamboyant, much like its architect.
