An unforgettable educational experience! Butterfly Adventures set up a Butterfly Enclosure at Fairs and Festivals where kids can come in and feed the butterflies under a supervision of a butterfly handler.

🦋 What a flutter-tastic day at the Acland Street Pet Festival in St Kilda! 🌿
We had an amazing time sharing our butterfly gazebo with everyone and loved seeing so many curious faces checking out our live caterpillars and chrysalis.

The real crowd favourites? Our spiny leaf insects! 🪳💚 These weird and wonderful creatures stole the show – and a few hearts too.

Thanks to all the pet lovers who stopped by to say hello. It was such a joy to connect with fellow fans of the fascinating and unusual! 💫

We’ll be bringing our magical live Butterfly Gazebo to Pet Fest for kids and families to step inside and experience these beautiful creatures up close! We’ll also have chrysalis & caterpillar kits and spiny leaf insect kits on display (perfect for future orders once it’s warmer). Or just stop by to chat with us about how to care for these fascinating insects at home and bring a little bit of nature’s wonder into your own backyard!

City Kids Early Learning Centre

"Stepping into the magical world of butterflies🦋

For the Insect Week, children explored the life cycle of butterflies, dressed up in their own butterfly wings and even fed Monarch butterflies Ribena juice using sponges on sticks. Known for their gentle nature, Monarchs were the perfect companions for curious little hands. It was a beautiful day of learning through play, discovery and connection with nature.

Our Story

We organise unique butterfly parties and educational presentations at schools where we let the kids touch the butterflies learn all about their amazing metamorphosis.

Butterfly Adventures specialises in Butterfly Releases for weddings, funerals, birthdays and other events.

Butterfly Adventures created the original Butterfly Chrysalis Kit that lets you hatch the butterfly from a chrysalis, make a wish and release it.

We supply schools and kindergartens with a caterpillar kit so that the students can participate in caterpillar feeding, watch them grow, turn into a pupa and into a butterfly. An amazing experience for kids and an excellent opportunity for the teachers to achive curriculum linked learning outcomes with complete lesson plans provided for every level of a primary school and for kinders. Finally, Butterfly Adventures can set up a Butterfly Enclosure at Fairs and Festivals (or a foyer of your school) where kids can come in and feed the butterflies under a supervision of a butterfly handler.
