Hi everyone! I’m Jia, an exchange student from the National University of Singapore, who spent an unforgettable semester at the University of Melbourne. My time here was filled with incredible adventures, and I’d love to share a few highlights with you!

🌿 Exploring the Otway Ranges:
My first school trip in Australia was a field excursion to the Otway Ranges, and it was amazing! Hiking through lush rainforests and learning about the unique flora of the region made me fall in love with the Australian outdoors.

🪂 Leap of Faith in Wollongong:
Skydiving in Wollongong, New South Wales was hands down one of the most thrilling experiences of my life! Jumping from 15,000 ft with friends was equal parts terrifying and exhilarating, and the coastal views from above were absolutely breathtaking. It’s a memory I’ll treasure forever.

🐧 A Solo Adventure to Phillip Island:
One of my favourite moments was a solo trip to Phillip Island. I fed wallabies, petted a koala, and ended the day by watching the famous penguin parade. Seeing these adorable penguins waddle ashore under the stars was a magical experience I’ll never forget!

Hi, I’m Mandy! I’m a Bachelor of Biomedicine student, and I spent my winter break completing a Short-Term Program at University College London (UCL).

One of my favourite highlights was watching the Barbie movie outdoors in Hyde Park with a friend from the summer school program. It was my first time watching a movie outside a traditional cinema setting, and the atmosphere made it an unforgettable night!

Another amazing experience was seeing a Shakespeare play at the iconic Globe Theatre. I went with friends from my class, and it was a fantastic introduction to one of London’s must-do experiences.

Finally, a highlight that meant a lot to me was the group project I completed with my new classmates. We worked hard on it, and our project on the effects of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors on hallucinatory symptoms in patients with Lewy Body Dementia scored 93%—the highest in the cohort! It was rewarding to see our efforts pay off.

In these photos, you’ll see me in front of UCL’s main building, a snapshot of our project presentation, and a picture of our entire cohort from the subject How the Brain Works and What Can Go Wrong.

Exchange Semester 2, 2025 applications are now open!

Application deadline: 25th November 2024

Hello my name is Szu Shien! I am a Bachelor of Arts student and during my studies I had the opportunity to take part in a semester long exchange at the University of Nottingham Ningbo in China!🇨🇳
During my exchange, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Global Fair with Vis-A-Vis (VAV) at UNNC! It was so much fun sharing Aussie slang and teaching the Nutbush Dance. 🇦🇺💃
I also fulfilled a dream by visiting Beijing over the Christmas break! 🎄🏯 Exploring iconic sites like the Great Wall and the Old Summer Palace was amazing, even with the cold weather and a few bumps along the way!
Attending Show Night during induction week was another highlight. 🎭✨ The variety of performances from different clubs got me even more excited for my exchange at UNNC! 🌟✈️ .talcrochets

Hi there, I’m Susie! I am a Master of Information Systems student and over June-July this year I escaped Melbourne winter by spending my break participating in a Short-Term Winter Program at Harvard University in the USA.

My time at Harvard was an incredible mix of academic immersion and classic campus life. Living in one of the Harvard Yard dorms and eating in their dining hall felt like I was living in Hogwarts! I took full advantage of the picturesque setting, from daily strolls through the vibrant Harvard Square on the way to class. I also made some fantastic friends and enjoyed eating together in the dining hall each meal, our after-dinner routine was going on a walk along the serene Charles River with my friends. Another one of my standout memories was exploring the iconic university library and soaking in the rich academic atmosphere.

Applications for Short-Term Summer Programs around the world starting in December are now open!
