Urban Vibe is a passion. The concept started with lets vibe is genuine idea , we wanted to encourage people to get out of their comfort zone, adventure and connect with like-minded individuals. In other words, just live. Putting aside limitations and fears, we wanted to stop those Monday blues and the thought that the weekend was never long enough. We started by creating a Facebook group. This gro
up was about planning regular meet ups and adventures, including activities such as: road trips, hikes, festivals, camping, concerts, movies, block parties, exploring new places and just generally being spontaneous! The Let’s Vibes group became a platform where people across Melbourne could post events or activities they were interested in, and connect with others who share the same interest. From here, as word of mouth spread, the Let’s Vibe group grew rapidly, the plan for creating a mutual ground for all our members to come and vibe commenced. In December 2016 we held our first open mic jam night at a lovely intimate spot upstairs at a bar in Fitzroy. As music was the connection, all the pieces to our puzzle were now together. We had the good vibes, the people and the acoustic jams to fill the room, and our souls, with music. Nothing was missing. Sunday became our soulful day of the week. It became a day where we share our passion for music and provide our people with music that feeds THE SOUL. It fitted perfectly for us to choose this day and called the event Let’s Vibe Sunday Sessions (Let’s Vibe - The Soul.) The night was an instant hit and as the magic of the night continued to spread, we felt the need to broaden our spectrum. Our mission is to continue spreading our love for music with like-minded people. Vibe for us is not just a trendy word, it is about connecting with more people, it is about the movement. Our goal is to become Melbourne's hub for all things urban, venture out, hold more events, connect with more talented souls, and share the good vibes with as many people as possible! Broken down, Urban Vibe is made out of four key components:
