🔔 Major Update: New English Language Test Requirements for Australian Visas (Effective 7 August 2025) 🇦🇺

The Migration (Specification of Language Tests, Test Scores and Passports) Instrument 2025 has officially commenced!.

This instrument brings significant changes to English language test requirements for skilled migration and other visa pathways.

Key Highlights:
✅ Updated test score thresholds across 9 language tests (IELTS, PTE, TOEFL iBT, OET, CELPIP, and more)
✅ New tests accepted: LANGUAGECERT, CELPIP, and MET now recognised
✅ Some exclusions apply (e.g. MET not valid for Superior English level)
✅ Transitional arrangements: Tests taken before 7 Aug 2025 are still valid for 36 months, if scores meet the old standard
✅ Citizens of 5 countries (🇨🇦 🇳🇿 🇮🇪 🇬🇧 🇺🇸) continue to meet English requirements via passport

Who are Affected?
📌 EOI applicants – Changes apply once you lodge your visa
📌 Invitation holders – Visa applications from 7 August 2025 must follow the new rules
📌 Visa applicants (post-7 August 2025) – Must meet new test score thresholds
📌 Existing applicants (pre-7 August 2025) – No change, old rules apply
