106 million years ago, the coastline along the Great Otway National Park was a part of Antarctica. It was one of the coldest places on Earth, and for that reason it was home to some incredible dinosaurs.

In the 1970s, many discoveries of dinosaur fossils were found along this coastline and a site was aptly named 'Dinosaur Cove'.
