A Charming Stay in the Heart of Little England LEAF Leisure

We had another wonderful stay at Stratford Cottage, Nuwara Eliya by Leaf Leisure Hotels. The cottage was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and full of old English charm, making it the perfect place to relax in Sri Lanka's beautiful hill country.

The food was outstanding, with a delicious selection of authentic Sri Lankan, Western, and Chinese dishes. In the evenings, we loved unwinding by the cosy fireplace with a cup of freshly brewed Ceylon tea or coffee.

Nuwara Eliya is known as "Little England," and Stratford Cottage is perfectly located to explore the area. Enjoy leisurely walks through the picturesque streets, visit the beautiful Gregory Lake, or take a day trip to Horton Plains National Park, where you can see the majestic sambar deer roaming freely and experience the spectacular World's End.

On the way to Horton Plains, don't miss a stop at the Highland Milk Bar to enjoy their famous fresh curd (yogurt), flavoured milk, and other dairy products.
