Planning a visit to the Twelve Apostles? Here’s what’s changed for your Great Ocean Road trip.

From 16 October 2026, all visitors need to pre-book a timed entry to the Twelve Apostles precinct through twelveapostles.org.au. Entry is free until April 2027; a paid entry fee is expected to begin then, with the cost still to be confirmed.

The new Keerray Woorroong Visitor Centre is part of the upgraded precinct. Nearby Loch Ard Gorge and Gibson Steps remain free to visit and don’t require a booking.

Opening to the public today, Friday 16 October, the new Keerray Woorroong Visitor Centre is a major $126 million precinct developed with the Eastern Maar Aboriginal Corporation. Discover First Nations exhibitions and digital experiences, and a Welcome Garden celebrating Eastern Maar culture. Upgraded parking with timed arrivals will also help manage visitor numbers.
