Passport Travel

Passport Travel PASSPORT TRAVEL has been operating 31 years, specialising in travel to the more exotic destinations. Beware of online travel scams. We are also ATAS accredited.

PASSPORT TRAVEL has been operating for over 25 years, specialising in travel to the more exotic destinations of the world. The dramatic growth of tourism over the last thirty years has changed the impact that travellers have on the environment they are travelling through. The traveller of the 1920’s would have had less of an impact on the people and the ecology than the mass tourism of the 21st c

entury. Whether you travel individually or as part of a group it is important that you take care of what you have come to see. We at Passport Travel endorse the well used phrase ‘take only photographs and leave only footprints’ and we encourage our friends and clients to do the same. Passport Travel encourages you to make a difference to the way you travel. Please make an effort to understand the culture, to learn something of the history and customs of the people you are visiting and to be sensitive to local customs. Watch what local people do, especially in sensitive areas like churches, mosques, temples and near people’s homes and follow topics of interest from local papers, radio and by asking people you meet. Our clients are active in their pursuit of the ecological and sociological balance between tourism and the environment. To find that balance and to enjoy your holiday please allow our experienced travellers to help you.

Reminder - changes (due in January 2025) to UK and Thailand Entry.

United Kingdom

Travel requirements to the UK are changing from 8 January 2025. This includes moving from physical immigration documents to eVisas and introducing Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) which is a digital permission to travel.

If you hold a UK visa and use a biometric residence permit or card to prove their immigration status, you need to get access to an eVisa before travel and make sure your passport details are up to date: www.gov.uk/eVisa.

If you already have an eVisa, you need to inform the UK Government about the passport that intended for travel: www.gov.uk/update-uk-visas-immigration-account-details

If you do not need a visa to visit the UK for short stays of up to six months, you will now need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). They can check when they need an ETA to travel to the UK and can apply here: www.gov.uk/electronic-travel-authorisation

Thailand

Beginning Wednesday, 1st January 2025, global travellers may apply for a Thai electronic visa (e-Visa) through the official website.

While the Thai e-Visa system has been available for travellers in select locations, this marks a significant expansion to the programme that allows applicants from any part of the world to complete the entire process online.

This global rollout will activate the online visa application system across all 94 Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates-General worldwide, ensuring comprehensive coverage for travellers.

The Thai e-Visa initiative is designed to simplify the visa application process, making it more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly

Also, the new system is part of the government’s broader initiative to promote tourism and enhance the travel experience.

By expanding its availability to travellers worldwide, the programme eliminates the hassle of in-person applications and significantly reduces wait times, supporting Thailand’s reputation as a top travel destination.

How to apply for an e-Visa
Applying for a Thai e-Visa is a simple six-step process:

Visit the Website: Go to www.thaievisa.go.th.
Create an Account: Register using a valid email address.
Complete the Application: Fill out the online form with the required details.
Upload Documents: Attach all required documentation.
Pay the Fee: Use the secure online payment portal to complete the application fee.
Receive e-Visa: Once approved, the e-Visa will be sent electronically.
