A few weeks ago we made the decision to delay all our tours for this season due to the Corona virus. We wanted to do what was best for our customers and staff. It was a hard decision to make as we knew a lot of our customers had planned their business meetings and other significant events around these hikes. When we announced our decision to delay the tours we received an overwhelming amount of replies thanking us for putting customer safety ahead of our short term profit. In addition to this a lot of our customers said they would have had to cancel due to the impact of Corona on their businesses and countries/flight paths being locked down. Based on this response we were pretty sure we had made the right decision. Today this was confirmed when the Nepalese government announced that all tourist visas will be suspended and climbing/hiking expeditions will be canceled. We are happy we made the decision to delay early so that our customers didn’t lose out financially and were able to have enough notice to reschedule their plans for the year. We would also like to note that we are increasing our capacity for 2021 as demand for our tours has been growing rapidly. If you are interested in our 2021 tours please email us at [email protected].

The visa suspension will begin March 14 and last until the end of April, depriving Nepal of millions in Everest climbing fees.
