Episode 47: It is time...

We say goodbye to Danang knowing it’s not forever. One last ride through the streets, one last visit to our favourite places… already wondering how it will look when we return.
We’ve decided to shorten our travels by a few months. Not because we have to — but because our hearts are calling us home. We promised ourselves we wouldn’t miss life’s most important moments.
Little Elmé arrived seven weeks early. Mommy Euzélle was very ill in hospital but is thankfully recovering well. Tiny Elmé is a brave little fighter, growing stronger each day in the NICU. Big brother Meyertjie is keeping everyone on their toes, while daddy Wessel is holding everything together with such strength.
For now… it’s time to go home. 🤍🌻

Episode 46: Our First Têt Experience – Unforgettable! 🇻🇳

This week we are experiencing Têt, their most important celebration marking the arrival of spring. It is a special time for family gatherings where traditional foods are enjoyed together. It is also known as the Lunar New Year, and this year is the Year of the Horse. Flowers can be seen everywhere, and fireworks are set off daily for 10 days. This has been an experience we will remember for a very long time!

Episode 44: Back to the city of coffee and motorbike adventures!

We’re back in one of our favourite cities. Da Nang stole our hearts five years ago when we first came to visit. We’re zipping around again on our little motorbike, discovering new places or stopping by old favourite cafés to enjoy a good cup of coffee. Once again, we’re experiencing the freedom of Da Nang and soaking in the rhythm this city brings to our lives...

Episode 43: Saying goodbye...
The hardest part of our travel adventures is saying goodbye. There’s always excitement for the hello, but knowing a goodbye will come again makes it tough 😥
What comforts us is knowing it’s not forever. We may not spend quantity time with our loved ones, but we are blessed with quality time — and that truly matters.
Thank you to Naas and Ness, Reon and Chanie, Stephan and Anandi for all the love, laughter, braais, seaside camping, Christmas on the farm, and so much spoiling over the past three months. We love you dearly 🤗🥰
And a very special thank you to Pierre and Zeldéne for making this time unforgettable — from Bali to the road trips and everything in between. Thank you for opening your home and hearts to us. We are so proud of you and our hearts are overflowing with love and gratitude 🥰❤️❤️❤️

Episode 42: Holding on to these moments...

Our time in Australia is slowly drawing to a close, and we’re holding on to every precious moment. Days are filled with laughter, shared meals, and making memories with family we’ll carry with us. The guys head off to Summernats, we wander through the halls of the National Gallery of Australia and spend a perfect day lost in the joy of the zoo — hearts full, time flying, and gratitude in every moment. ❤️

Episode 41: New Year, New Adventures: Our Fun Road Trip to Melbourne!

What started as a simple road trip to Melbourne quickly turned into a string of happy little adventures. Our first stop was Gundagai, where the views from the lookout tempted us to linger longer than planned, followed by a relaxed lunch. Seymour took us straight into the past with its impressive old army tanks and a helicopter that made us feel like curious kids again. We spent the night in Benalla, poking around and discovering charming little spots along the way. Melbourne then swept us up as we celebrated New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, exploring the city, wandering aimlessly, and soaking in the buzz. On the way back, we refuelled in Yea before settling in for the night in the very pretty town of Albury. Dinner at Taco Bill turned out to be one of those meals you keep talking about long after the plates are cleared. Our final stop in Holbrook, where we explored an old submarine, felt like the perfect quirky ending to an unforgettable road trip. 🚗
