Fab Nobs Theatre Inc is a not-for profit organisation, located in Melbourne's outer-east. Everyone is welcome.

Fab Nobs formed in 2003 and staged its first production, "A Slice of Saturday Night" in a converted factory on Burgess Road, Bayswater. In 2008 Fab Nobs changed location to 33 Industry Place, Bayswater, where they transformed “the factory” into a theatrical space ideal for diverse productions. The cabaret like atmosphere provides the perfect setting to stage unique concerts and productions that ra

nge from the classics: Little Shop of Horrors, A Little Night Music and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, to the contemporary: Next to Normal, The Drowsy Chaperone and Avenue Q, as well as the quirky Zombie Prom, Return to the Forbidden Planet and tick, tick, BOOM - just to name a few! Fab Nobs is dedicated to involving all members of the community, whether it is to be on the stage or behind the scenes. Fab Nobs are also devoted to giving back to the community, having made donations to many charities. Students have also had the opportunity to experience the ‘theatre world’ through a ‘Work Experience’ program, which has been highly regarded within the community. We look forward to seeing you in the foyer at our next show!

Auditions begin tomorrow for our October-November production of We are the Tigers! There are very limited spots remaining for Tuesday and Thursday nights - book now for the opportunity to audition for this hilarious murder mystery!

Fab Nobs supports diverse casting and welcomes performers of all gender identities, sexual orientations, nationalities, linguistic backgrounds and body types to audition. Given the content of the show, and at request of the author, we especially encourage performers from the LGBTQIA+ community to audition.

Genders and ages in character descriptions are an indication of the way the character is scripted, not necessarily of the actors that will be considered for that role. We encourage performers to audition for roles they feel they suit and that suit their vocal range.

All auditionees must be at least 18 years old at the time of auditions.

Please give a big welcome to our absolutely incredible Fun Home creative team ✍️🏠 We are so thrilled to welcome Richard Perdriau as our Director, Olivia Sweeney as our Musical Director and Amber Orchard as our Assistant Director/Choreographer.

Three newcomers to Fab Nobs with combined decades of experience in the theatre industry; we know these three amazing creatives are going to bring so much magic to the Fab Nobs stage, and we could not be more excited to get started.

We were blown away by everyone who came in to interview for this show, and are so grateful as always to have so much interest in working with our company and we hope to see you all apply again soon.

Just last week our 2025 youth production of Zombie Prom - The Atomic Edition took to the stage to a sold out audience one final time. We are so proud of our incredible youth performers for the wonderful show they put on, and for the amazing bonds they formed among cast members new and old. We hope to have you all back soon!

Thank you to everyone who was a part of this production, from our creative team, to our set builders, our sound and lighting teams, our backstage crew, our committee, and so many more. Shows like this are a true labour of love, and we are always so blessed to have so many amazing people helping put together shows at our company.

With We Are The Tigers auditions coming up next week, it is only a short break at Fab Nobs, and we can’t wait to see you all at our final show for 2025!
