Our passion is whale watching and for 7 months of the year this is what we do. May to August during the Northern Migration of the wonderful humpback wha

les we operate whale watching cruises out of Darling Harbour Sydney. And then for the Southern Migration from August to November we run daily cruises from Merimbula and Bermagui on the NSW South Coast. The Southern Migration is our favourite time of the year as so many whales pass close to the shore and the whale watching is sensational! Outside of the whale season we operate 3hr Reef Fishing Charters & 2hr Ocean Wildlife Adventures from Merimbula. These tours are a wonderful way to see the spectacular Sapphire Coast from the water and regularly sight a variety of marine life (Seals, Dolphins, Whales, Seabirds). We sighted a good range of wildlife on yesterday and today’s Eden Wildlife Cruise. The seals have been enjoying sunning themselves on the break wall and we found the same two bottlenose dolphins both days 🐬🐬 We also sighted several seals, sea eagles, terns and cormorants feeding off the coast today.

Dolphins, seals, white bellied sea eagles, albatross and a variety of seabirds were all sighted today on our Eden Wildlife Cruise. It was great to see such a wide variety of wildlife throughout the morning.

Unfortunately no trips for us today due to the large easterly swells. Here are a few photos from yesterday’s Eden Wildlife Cruise. Roger has been enjoying the dolphins this past week 🐬😊 We have also loved the White Bellied Sea Eagle activity of late. Yesterday we watched an adult swoop down to take a fish near the Eden Rock Pool 😊

We have been super lucky with wildlife sightings over the past two days. Great dolphins in Merimbula and Eden on Tuesday and again wonderful dolphins and seals today in Eden. A beautiful start to the day this morning as we headed out fishing. We found dolphins on all three trips 🐬🐬 Bottlenose dolphins on the fishing charter and the Merimbula Wildlife Adventure. Then gorgeous common dolphins on the afternoon Eden Wildlife Cruise. We also sighted seals, white bellied sea eagles and a variety of other seabirds throughout the day 💙

Our new friends the four young White Bellied Sea Eagles were still arguing over who was going to eat the fish today at North Head. The two Adults were unimpressed and we found them perched in the trees at South Head. We also sighted another juvenile Sea Eagle flying north across Twofold Bay. Quite a few White Bellied Sea Eagles in Twofold Bay at the moment 💙💙

Today on our Eden Wildlife Cruise we saw something that we have never seen before - 6 white bellied sea eagles all interacting with one another 😊 Four appeared to be younger juveniles based on their feather colouration and two adult birds. It was rather fascinating to see them interacting with one another 💙💙 We also sighted several other seabirds returning from successful fishing activities and the seals sun baking on the rocks.

This afternoon we had a lovely wildlife cruise from Merimbula. Gorgeous ocean conditions and a variety of wildlife sighted throughout the cruise.

Yesterday we saw our first humpback whales for the year 🐋💙 Passengers onboard our fishing charter got the surprise of their lives when a young whale breached and came over and circled the boat on Saturday morning. Needless to say both crew and passengers were all very happy 😊

We were also lucky on Friday to see our wonderful Bottlenose Dolphin friends whilst on our Eden Wildlife Cruise. 🐬🐬

Unfortunately the ocean is looking a little wild for the next few days but as soon as it calms down we will be back out and looking for dolphins and early season whales 🐬🐋💙

A very pleasant wildlife cruise from Merimbula today. Our resident seals were enjoying the sunshine and we were lucky to see a variety of seabirds. We loved sighting a gorgeous Caspian Tern - we don’t often see these little birds with their bright red beaks and black legs ❤️🖤

Today was sooo good - we found a pod of over 50 oceanic Bottlenose dolphins off the middle of Twofold Bay. Some of these dolphins were huge and there were also lots of mothers and young calves 💙💙 These dolphins were very playful and spent about an hour cruising alongside Bubbles. It was such a joy to watch and listen to these wonderful dolphins, even if we did get a little wet from the rainy conditions 😊

We have had so many incredible encounters with the local White Bellied Sea Eagles, dolphins, seals, seabirds, sharks, penguins and schools of bait fish. We are certainly enjoying the range of wildlife in the area at the moment 😊

Today was all about the seals 🦭💙
This morning from Merimbula we sighted over 12 seals, a couple inside the channel and more out on the ocean rafted up. We also had several sightings with a Little Penguin near the Merimbula Bar.
It was a gorgeous afternoon today to show a group on a bus tour from South Australia around Twofold Bay. We found our resident White Bellied Sea Eagles, a seal and several other seabirds during the afternoon cruise.

We had a great morning out of Eden today. We found several seals on our Wildlife Cruise, some hauled out sunning themselves and others rolling around in the ocean 🦭💙 Our local White Bellied Sea Eagle was in one of his favourite perch’s, looking quite regal on the branch 💙 We also sighted several other seabirds whilst enjoying the spectacular scenery off Twofold Bay.

Today we enjoyed the blue skies and sunshine as we cruised around Twofold Bay. We sighted seals and several species of seabirds throughout the cruise. One of our local sea eagles was again perched on its favourite lookout and the other soaring above the headland.

If you have been on one of our cruises from Merimbula you will have gone past the Merimbula Wharf and along Long Point. What you might not have appreciated is how much life lies under the water 💙 This past week Nick, one of our wonderful deckies, has spent some time exploring the reef near the Wharf and captured these fantastic images. He was amazed at the biodiversity that he saw, Crested Horn Shark, Grey Nurse Sharks, Green Turtle 🐢💚, Smooth Rays, Octopus, Seals and lots of different fish species.
Summer might be over but what the locals know is that Autumn is the best time for swimming on the Sapphire Coast. So make the most of these beautiful Autumn days, grab your snorkel, get in the water and explore…

May to August during the Northern Migration of the wonderful humpback whales we operate cruises out of Darling Harbour Sydney. And then for the Southern Migration from September to November we run daily cruises from Merimbula on the NSW South Coast. The Southern Migration from Merimbula is our favourite time of the year as so many whales pass close to the shore and the whale watching is sensational! Outside of the whale season we operate a 2hr Coastal Discovery Cruise with BBQ lunch, December to May. These cruises are a wonderful way to see the spectacular Sapphire Coast from the water and regularly sight Dolphins and a variety of marine life. We also operate fishing charters December to May from Merimbula. During these months have daily 4hr Reef Fishing Charters.
