We are thrilled to announce that the Merimbula Visitor Information Centre WON in the Category of Outstanding Visitor Service at the South Coast BusinessNSW Awards.

We are now off to Sydney to compete against the big boys! We strive, everyday, to help our Visitors and Locals with their questions and enquiries, our businesses be the best they can be and our community engage with the visitor economy.

🐦 H5 bird flu public meeting

The NSW Government is hosting a public meeting in Merimbula to provide information about H5 bird flu and the response to confirmed detections in the Bega Valley.

📅 Thursday 3 September
🕕 6pm
📍 Club Sapphire, Merimbula

Representatives from NSW DPIRD, NSW Health and the NSW Wildlife Control Centre will provide information and answer questions about H5 bird flu, the local response and how the community can help.

H5 bird flu has been confirmed in seabirds in Eden, Merimbula and Bermagui.

Council is also placing clear signage at key locations across the shire with information about what to look for and what to do if you find a sick or dead bird.
