This year I was bitten by a snake a month before this walk and was gutted that by Feb I was not yet clear headed and strong enough to lead a wet season gorge walk. However- 2025- yes please. It is a fabulous walk and with increasing restrictions on untracked remote bushwalking we are unsure how much longer we can offer it for. So, don't wait! If you know anyone who might be interested please forward.
The roads are shut so we helicopter into the carpark and then spend 14 days immersed in the magnificent Bungle Bungles. When everyone else visits this area Piccaninny Creek is stagnant and the area is dry. When we go there the creek is flowing and when it rains waterfalls appear, flowing over the beehive domes. It is an unforgettable experience. It is also not for the inexperienced. If you are considering joining please call me before booking so we can make sure it is the right trip for you.
