Some say trust the good old weatherman… others accuse him of being a stranger from the truth and trust the view from the marina.

Massive shout out to the crew who joined us out of Mindarie yesterday. Conditions were far from what was advertised, bubbles were blown, stories and bad dad jokes were told, and everyone came back with a smile.

Sometimes you’ve just got to get off the couch and go have a look for yourself.

Saturday Dive Day!

Single or double — you choose how cold you want to get.

Singles: Get your splash on, blow some bubbles, and we’ll run you back to the marina and civilisation (aka the coffee shop).

Doubles:You mad buggers can reload, rinse the salt off your eyebrows, grab a snag, then we’ll send it straight back out for Round 2. More bottom time, more stories, and more salt than the cracks in the deck.

As always, no numbers = no departure. SeaQuest stays tied up and I’ll be sitting there with a coffee, judging your life choices… again.

The old girl is sitting in 30m, so Deep/Advanced certification is required for all divers.

If the conditions play nice, we’ll either stay on the wreck for a second dive or head inshore for a shallower Dive 2.

Hey crew,

Sunday 7 June – Double Dive Charter

The skipper’s eyeing a decent weather window, so we’re loading up at 07:30 from Mindarie Marina and making the most of it before the afternoon breeze starts throwing its weight around.

Out, get wet, blow some bubbles, and back in before the wind remembers it’s winter.

Finish the weekend the right way with a soak ’n chill and a couple of good dives with the crew.

As always, minimum numbers apply. Don’t leave it to everyone else or you’ll be watching the photos from the couch.

Watch this space… we might also have an additional charter running on Saturday, just waiting on confirmation from our friends down at Hillarys. More on that as soon as we get the nod.

As mentioned in today’s earlier post, we didn’t get the numbers together for tomorrow’s charter, so we had to pull the pin.
BUT… after a bit of reshuffling with PDA, we’ve managed to crack open Sunday and make the most of what the weather man reckons will be a decent day.
So……
now it comes down to you lot.
We need a minimum of 8 divers to get the show on the road and the SeaQuest off the dock.
Mindarie MarinaLoad up 07:30 sharp.

Well,
Good news, bad news, good news……

Good —
Had a great run down to Hillarys today for a couple of OW Dive 3 & 4 sessions with some PDA junior bubble makers. Always good seeing the next generation learning how to blow bubbles properly.

Bad —
At 4pm today we only had three divers pencilled in for tomorrow.
Not good enough, guys… so we’ll sit on the dock and watch the rest of the world float by instead.

Good —
Due to a reshuffle and a bit of rescheduling, we’ve got a chance to make it right on Sunday…..

Low seas, light winds, and the forecast doesn’t get much prettier than that.

But here’s the deal —
We need 8 divers minimum to get the wheels turning and the SeaQuest off the leash.

So get out from under your blanket—now’s your chance.

Mindarie Marina. Load up at 07:30
Let’s fill the manifest and go make bubbles.

23 May 1701 — Scottish pirate captain William Kidd got himself hanged at Ex*****on Dock in London for piracy and murder.

This Saturday’s crew is aiming for a slightly better outcome.

Double dive Saturday 23 May.
We’ll go where we go and get wet where we get wet.
Could be reefs, could be lumps of limestone, could be skipper Callum following a “good feeling” again.

Well at least we got out on Sunday with a small crew of PDA bubble makers.

Conditions out at Labyrinth and Hanging Rock turned out pretty decent in the end. Clean water, manageable swell, and enough fish life around to keep everyone happy.

Most importantly, everyone surfaced smiling, gear still intact, and no one managed to donate a mask to Neptune.

Could’ve used a few more bodies onboard, but the salty few that showed up made it a solid day on the water.
