Lyn Taylor's Adventure Travel is dedicated to preserving the fragile environment of these countries and our commitment is to Eco-Trekking and making sure that whilst trekking through protected and environmentally fragile areas, steps are taken to minimize the impact by adopting numerous methods to help preserve this country. We endeavour to instil a sense of pride in local culture and value by making sure that wherever possible villagers benefit from foreign visitors by using local services. We are life members of KEEP (Kathmandu Educational and Environmental Project) committed to raising environmental awareness. We are committed to trekking in a way that does not harm the local environment, ie: with camping groups, we always carry kerosene, so that no local wood need to be used to cook our food, and we remove all our rubbish - leaving only footprints. Naturally, to maintain our high standard, we have a dedicated team of experienced staff, from the office managers who arrange your trip down to the cook that prepares your food. Lyn herself is the Australian Representative for IPPG (International Porters Protection Group). The aim of IPPG is to foster the well being of that most vulnerable group of mountain worker in Nepal and South America, the porter, by raising awareness among trekkers, mountaineers, trek and expedition companies, leaders, sirdars and staff.

We decided on our last day in Japan that we would leave the crowds of Osaka city and head to the peaceful seaside area of Ine Bay and Aminohashidate situated on the Japan sea.

Today we went to the Hiroshima Peace Park and the Memorial Museum ironically on Anzac Day. War is the work of man. war is the destruction of life. War is Death. To remember the past is to commit yourself to the future. To remember Hiroshima is to adhore nuclear war. To remember Hiroshima is to commit oneself to peace. Do we ever learn? Later we visited the peaceful Miyajima Island walking along the promenade and in awe of the O-Tori Gate
