We are looking for 2 Cleaners to join our team.
MIAS is a holiday accommodation provider that has properties on Moreton Island located at Tangalooma, Cowan and Bulwer. Our mission is to provide our guests with clean and comfortable accommodation and provide them with the best holiday experience. If you want to live and work on a beautiful island close to Brisbane than this could be the job for you.
We are currently seeking 2 cleaners or a couple to add to our cleaning team. Your role will involve cleaning holiday homes, villas and apartments at various locations on Moreton Island. Expected start date as soon as possible.
You will be responsible for cleaning properties after guests depart and ensuring the property is set up for incoming guests. High level of attention to detail is required. Weekend work is also required as the cleaning schedule is dependant on guests arrival and departure.
Requirements:
Able to live on the island. Position is based at Tangalooma Resort with accommodation available in a share house (one room provided at set weekly rent). Moreton Island is 1.5 hours ferry trip from Brisbane and there are limited shops on the island. It will require you to plan your food supply trips around the cleaning schedule.
Current drivers licence would be preferred. Driving on sand and 4wd tracks is required to get to different house locations. Training in driving on sand will be provided.
A smartphone with Telstra (only reliable service on the island) is preferred.
Must have cleaning, housekeeping or other relevant experience (min 1 year)
Have or willing to have a police check
High level attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and complete assigned cleans in a timely manner
Ability to work in a team if required.
Be physically fit as there is a lot of walking and stairs involved in the job.
Be available to work 5-6days a week, depending on bookings and seasonal demand.
Willing to take constructive feedback and apply it to your role
