What connection might this 13th century military watchtower have with today's historic public holiday? It's the Torre del Oro (or Tower of Gold) in Spain's Seville province from where bitter oranges of the same name are collected and shipped each year to Britain, destined to become marmalade, and perhaps spread into a sandwich to keep as a snack "for later". Rest in Peace Queen Elizabeth II.
