In the past 14 years I have visited some incredible countries and these include:

Vanuatu, New Zealand, Fiji (5 times!), West Coast Canada, USA, British Virgin Islands, Hawaii, Bali, Lombok, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bintan Island, India, Nepal (Everest Base Camp Trek), Egypt, England, Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, France, Dubai, South Africa, China & the Philippines. These trips have all been very different, some small group travel, some large group travel, some luxury, some budget, some independent, some trekking, some cruising & a safari just to name a few! In the current Covid climate, the majority of my consults happen by email or phone, however face to face meetings can be arranged where restrictions allow. About MTA - Mobile Travel Agents

6 YEARS 🥳✈️

These posts seem to be turning into an annual update lately but it is officially 6 years today since I started this little business. It grew into something completely amazing and then unfortunately took an unimaginable hit. The past 12 months have not surprisingly been very quiet on the travel front. Yes I am still here working very minimally, still keeping an eye on credits and refunds for existing clients who have had their travel plans disrupted. At this point I am not taking on any new business as I have a little bit of exciting news for those who may not already know…..

We are expecting baby #2 early next month! 🥰👶🏼🤰💛

I will be taking some time from now into the first half of 2022 to adjust to becoming a family of 4 and I will be sure to update you all with how I am going along the way!

If you have a voucher with me, they will still be honoured, just be aware that my response times may be a little slow over the next few months but I thank you in advance for your patience.

I wish all of my clients and your families a magical Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year which we can all hopefully spend with those who are nearest and dearest to us! 🎄✨

That is all from me for now. Thank you all for your incredible support over the past 6 years. Stay tuned for our exciting baby news in the coming weeks 💛

Stay safe!

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY TO ME 🥳🥳

What a roller coaster of a year 2020 has been!! Not exactly the way I thought I’d be celebrating 5 years but here we are. Sadly the international travel industry has been hit beyond words and we still have no idea when we might be able to venture afar again. The domestic industry has been super up and down with borders shut, then open, then shut again, it’s been almost impossible to keep up with!! For me this means that my business this year has become more or less dormant. I’ve still been working away quietly for people who have had flights credits and a couple of other small trips, but only a drop in the ocean compared to the business I had planned to have had in 2020.

On a positive note, I’m thankful to have had the extra time to just be a mum this year and spend my days watching my little girl grow up! I’ve also decided to fill in some of my extra time by doing some study and work in the fitness industry which I am really enjoying.

On a less positive note, I sadly handed the keys back to my beautiful office at The Convent yesterday 😭 Unfortunately I just can’t justify the expense at the moment so I had to let it go. It’s been my second home for the past 5 years and I’m so grateful to have had such a beautiful space to build my business! Please note for the foreseeable future I will be contactable by phone and email only and in person appointments can be arranged.

To all my clients, I am still very much here for you and I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Thank you for your unwavering support over the past 5 years, it means the world to me 🙏🏽✈️💙

If you have family or friends still in Bali, please please encourage them to return back to Australia ASAP while there are still a few commercial flights available. They will soon cease and will likely stay that way for many months and the government cannot assist. If you need some advice, please get in touch.

Australians in Bali or Indonesia – now is the time to come home!

If you’re still in Bali for a holiday, you’ve retired there, or you live there for some of the year, our advice couldn’t be clearer:

Come home. Don’t delay.

Come back to Australia while commercial flights are available. The Australian Government has NO plans to evacuate you.

If you decide to stay, you probably won’t get a chance to return to Australia for many months.

Think about your and your family’s health. Critical medical care in Bali and Indonesia is significantly below Australian standards.

The Australian Government cannot guarantee you access to medical services or a safe exit if or when the situation gets worse.

Well... What a wild ride the last couple of weeks have been. Who would have known this is where we would end up. International borders closed, state borders closed and the loss of an unimaginable amount of jobs, including mine effectively. I guess you could say lucky for me, I can’t sack myself, but as long as these travel bans are in place then I have zero work and zero income, just like a lot of other people right now. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this crazy situation and we can only hope and pray that it all comes to an end sooner rather than later.

A little positive is that as of Monday afternoon I have all of my overseas clients back on Australian soil and they are all currently in self isolation for 14 days. It took a hell of a lot of blood, sweat and tears (oh so many tears) to get them all home safe but I was so proud of my efforts in a situation that was changing and updating quicker than we could say ‘Covid-19’.

I now turn my concentration to cancelling/postponing all of the departures I had booked for the next couple of months. It breaks my heart to see all of my hard work go to waste and my clients dreams shattered but I can only hope that when the time comes that it is safe again to travel, that these plans will be rebooked with more happiness and excitement than ever before. Please note that I will not be taking any face to face appointments until further notice. All correspondence will be via phone or email.

For now, look after yourselves, stay home, wash your hands and stay positive. Shop online and support the little guys where you can. Spend this time planning your next adventures and bring your plans to me when the time comes. It’s going to be a long, bumpy road ahead for many of us, but it will come to an end and we will be stronger than ever when it does.

Stay safe and well ❤️

Helloooooo!!!

** Check in and Coronavirus Update **

It has been awhile since I’ve checked in here officially, but I have been busily and quietly working away in the background for a while now!! I am back on board 1 day a week officially (Thursday’s from 10am-4.30pm) and then whatever I can manage from home in between . My baby girl Koa is now 9 months old and she is just the best. We are very blessed! 💕 I am still only taking on limited clients for the time being as I can only fit so much into my days at the moment but please still get in touch if you’re thinking about getting away and I will let you know if I can help!

What I did want to jump in and touch on quickly was the evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation that is flooding our media channels. I stumbled across a really clear and simple video this morning which I think explains the situation perfectly. Follow the below link to watch.

Understandably, you may be reconsidering your holiday plans for the foreseeable future. What I want to try and explain is that if you are a generally healthy and strong person with no signs of illness or respiratory issues, as long as you follow basic hygiene practices you are at a very low risk of contracting the virus. At this current point in time, you may ask my opinion in relation to what I would do.

Would I travel to Japan? Yes I would
Would I go to Italy? Yes of course, except to the affected areas of Northern Italy which I would steer clear of.
Would I go to Singapore? Absolutely
Would I take a domestic or trans-Tasman cruise any time soon? Yes
Would I travel to the USA, the UK, Bali or Thailand? Without hesitation.
Would I travel to China, South Korea or Iran? No I wouldn’t.
Would I book a cruise for anytime this year in Asia? Not unless the crisis was over, a vaccine was available or I could get 100% of my deposit back in the event I chose to cancel for any reason.

While the travel industry and broader global economy have faced many challenges in the past 30 years, nothing has instilled fear in people as quickly as this situation has and in my opinion I feel this is because we have never had access to 24/7 media like we do now and for the most part, a lot of the information being broadcast is uneducated, non factual and fear based. The situation today has moved on since yesterday, which was different to the day before. Tomorrow will be different again. Be aware and realistic of the news and information you choose to consume and if in doubt, refer to the DFAT, CDC and WHO sites for factual and up to date information related to the destination you are travelling to.

If you have any future travel booked with me and you are concerned or have any questions or queries then please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we can work through your questions or concerns together in an educated and unbiased way.

Happy Tuesday!

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!! 🎄❤️

Thank you for all your continued support this year during one of the most special years of my career, adding our beautiful daughter to our family!

I am back at work in the office on Thursday’s from 10am - 4.30pm (by appointment only - next office day after the holiday season will be the 9th of Jan). I am available for limited face to face appointments outside of this time by prior arrangement, otherwise I am readily available over phone/email and I do work limited hours from home during the week.

I will be limiting the clients I take on for a little while longer to ensure each one of you recieves the level of service and attention to detail you deserve, however if you are hoping to work with me for your next holiday, honeymoon, business trip or group then please get in touch as far in advance as possible and we can chat about your plans.

Wishing you all a safe and enjoyable holiday season and I look forward to seeing you all again in 2020! ✨

Best Wishes,
Amber x
