Check out these two cuties enjoying the volcanic views atop Mount Schank .and.freya.adventure.dogs 😍👏🏔️

Just 15km south of Mount Gambier and just off Riddoch Highway lies Mount Schank, known as the youngest volcano in Australia!

Enjoy a 900m hike from the carpark to the summit, or a 2.7km return if you’d like to walk the entire crater 🙌

ROAD CLOSURES - 100 MILE CLASSIC

Please note the following roads will be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic on Saturday 18 May and Sunday 19 May 2024 to allow for the safe running of the Mount Gambier 100 Mile Cycling Classic.

Saturday 18 May
- Millard Street in its entirety between 9:00am and 12:00pm.
- Bay Road being the entire length of road between the Bay Road/John Watson Drive roundabout and Railway Terrace between 1:00pm and 3:00pm.

Sunday 19 May
- Bay Road between John Watson Drive North and John Watson Drive South, and
- John Watson Drive in its entirety between 7:30am and 2:30pm.

This natural phenomenon was triggered by a severe geomagnetic storm, of which hadn’t been seen in Australia since 2003!
