There’s cruising … and then there’s Expedition Cruising Alaska. 🧊🐋
For 2028, I’m looking at doing Alaska a little differently with HX Expeditions — less about simply sailing past the scenery, and more about getting closer to the glaciers, wildlife, remote places and incredible landscapes that make Alaska so special.
Think expedition boats, expert guides, wildlife encounters and a ship that becomes your comfortable base for exploring.
Whales. Eagles. Bears. Glaciers.
And after Alaska, there’ll also be the option to continue through the Canadian Rockies and on to the Calgary Stampede.

WHO'S COMING TO ALASKA WITH ME IN 2028? 🐋🏔️🤠
Since Vietnam, I've been thinking about where the next great Beyond Destinations adventure should take us…
And I think I've found it.
ALASKA — JUNE 2028 🇺🇸
But not aboard one of the enormous cruise ships.
I'm looking at something a little different.
An HX expedition through Alaska's Inside Passage, exploring spectacular fjords, remote communities and wilderness aboard MS Roald Amundsen, with opportunities to head out on expedition boats, kayak quiet waterways and watch for whales, sea otters, eagles and bears. HX Expeditions
And then I thought…
Why stop there?
I'm also putting together options to continue through the magnificent Canadian Rockies 🇨🇦 —
🚂 by rail
or
🚗 by self-drive
before finishing with something completely different…
THE CALGARY STAMPEDE 🤠🐎
So you'll be able to choose:

🧊🏔️ OPTION 2 — ALASKA + CANADIAN ROCKIES
🧊🏔️🤠 OPTION 3 — ALASKA + ROCKIES + CALGARY STAMPEDE
You don't have to do everything.
But I'm fairly certain you’re going to want to. 😂
This is still in the planning stage, and I'm putting together an Expression of Interest list before I release the full itinerary and pricing.
