Interesting to see the history of Muckadilla's Frank Forde a World War Two Prime Minister and War Minister has modern Irish connections.
On 13th February St Hugh's Primary School in Leitrim Ireland won a Film Award for a Film and Song they made on Frank Forde whose Father John Forde went to school there.
During2025 the students researched the Muckadilla book written by David Bowden. Then interviewed David by Zoom on Frank Forde and Muckadilla. They were competing against 1,500 other students. Great effort!

John Lethbridge Photo at 2025 Anzac Day Service at the Muckadilla War Memorial and Harry Murray VC Dedicated Wall.
John estimated 190 people attended the Muckadilla Rising Sun Dawn Service.
John was MC and introduced readers from St John's Students. They were Masters Loughnan. Crocker and Miss Thrupp.
Guest Speaker was Natalie Stinson a former Royal Australian Navy member. Natalie has a strong Family connection with servicing in Australian Forces
Live music assisted to make the occasion memorable
The Mucka Pub held a Amzac Breakfast that saw $1,140 donated to the RSL

Charlie from Roma visited the Muckadilla zear Memorisl and Harry Murray VC Dediicated Wall. Looks as though we lost another zone Pine Tree. Only one left from the original planting.The last two planted are flourishing.

Well after so many twists and turns I have finally made it to Rehabilitation at Greenslopes Hospital. Now to find my feet and get them walking again. Had my first Physio session this morning. I came through that well I thought. Have graduated fr the big upright thingo to a wheeelie walker which means I am independent and do not have to have someone follow me around if I move.Am in civilian clothes for the first to me in five weeks and not in a blue hospital gown. So this is the first step towards the door out of here. Shoould be here about three weeks.
