How do you deal with getting attached to the horses in your program?
Because they arenโt just stalls on a board or names on a training list. We spend countless hours with them. We learn their personalities, their quirks, their strengths, their challengesโฆ we watch them grow, improve, and become better versions of themselves.
And then comes the day when they leave. ๐ญ
We know this is part of the business. Horses come to us to be trained, shown, bought, sold, or eventually go home. But that doesnโt make the goodbye any easier when youโve poured your time, energy, and heart into them.

How does your barn team handle the attachment?
Do you try not to get too attached?
Do you embrace the connection and accept that goodbyes are part of the job?
