🌿 BITE OF THE BIB | Beelu National Park
Most of us won’t walk all 1000 km of the Bibbulmun Track, but you can walk a beautiful section of this iconic trail near Mundaring Weir. Begin at the Perth Hills Discovery Centre, cross the weir wall and finish up with a spectacular view.

The hilly climb will be rewarded with a sweeping vista of Lake CY O’Connor and the famous weir wall from the Golden View Lookout at South Ledge. For a shorter 8km walk, start/finish at the Mundaring Weir Hotel. For a sunrise shot, begin just before dawn from the lookout. Here’s our quick guide 👉

Stroll through the treetops and see the bushland from a totally different perspective.

For now, access is via the eastern end, with a ramp and trail making it easy to reach.

🦅 EAGLE VIEW TRAIL | John Forrest National Park
Looking for an epic trail to kick off your hiking season in the Perth Hills? Take flight on the Eagle View Trail. Begin by walking west on a section of the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail, crossing Jane Brook just before National Park Falls.

The long loop involves steep gravel tracks, which are sometimes unmarked. Spot wildlife, wildflowers (late winter/early spring), and winter brooks as you trek to a breathtaking Perth city view, by enormous granite boulders.

Don't wing it – hiking experience is highly recommended. Here’s our quick guide 👉
📍 Main carpark, Park Rd, Hovea.
📏Distance: 16km loop.
📈Grade: Class 4: Difficult
⏰Completion time: 5 to 6 hours
🗓 Best Time: Autumn to Spring

🚶🚶RRHT BY BIKE | Mt Helena to Mahogany Creek
Begin with a coffee at Silky Froth or a pint at Mount Helena Tavern, then hop on the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail (RRHT)and head south towards Mundaring. Ride the easy-going tree-line trail, then park your bike for a bite to eat at The Mundaring Hotel. Walk your bike across the road to the Mundaring Sculpture Park, where you can soak up the golden autumn hues.

From there, continue west on the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail, eventually turning up Homestead Road, to the The Mahogany Inn and Distillery. Put your feet up in the beer garden with a well-earned drink, or better yet, stay the night and spend more time exploring the cafes and pubs dotted along the trail. Here’s our quick guide 👉
