🚂💦 RAILWAY RESERVES HERITAGE TRAIL | JFNP Waterfalls
Have you explored the winter wonders at John Forrest National Park? Wander the Railway Reserves Heritage Trail (RRHT), beginning at the new carpark and heading west toward National Park Falls. Next, head eastwards back toward the main picnic area and to the cascading Hovea Falls. The gravel track is wide, and slopes so slowly that you'll barely notice you’re walking uphill/downhill.
Points of interest along this part of the 41km trail include National Park Falls, Hovea Falls, the old train bridge, Jane Brook Promenade and more. There is a bit of doubling back, but it’s worth it to see these two stunning waterfalls.
A walk in the Perth Hills wouldn’t be complete without a café stop or two. Why not begin at Glen Forrest Gourmet to grab gourmet takeaways to enjoy later under the trees. Here’s our quick guide 👉
