What a gorgeous sunrise on the Murray, Riverland, South Australia. This is why we love outdoor education so much. Taking students out of the classroom and giving them real outdoor experience. These students get the opportunity to better understand them selves as well as gain knowledge of the ecosystem surrounding them.

We’re Hiring – Canoe the Riverland 🌊

We’re seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Canoe/Kayak Guide to join our team in the stunning Riverland region.

🛶 Requirements:
• Recognised kayaking qualification
• Experience in outdoor education
• Willingness and ability to kayak on multi-day expeditions
• Must live in or near Renmark
• Current Police Check
• Working With Children Check
• RRHAN-EC (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong safety awareness and leadership skills

📍 Location: Riverland (Renmark vicinity)
🕒 Position: Casual, with opportunities for permanent work

Yes winter IS STUNNING on the water. None of that pesky rain here in the Riverland!
However we are currently between caretakers so SORRY but tours are only available by arrangement. Our booking page is temporarily closed but please email if you have a large group planned.
School bookings are our priority for the short term.

Canoe the Riverland is seeking multiple motivated Riverland Experts for a variety of positions including Casual Outdoor Guides and Instructors, Maintenance and logistics as well as Dinghy tour guides.

Are you passionate about creating impactful experiences for young people in the great outdoors?
We seek facilitators committed to youth development through engaging outdoor adventures.

Casual Outdoor Guides for School Camps, guided Riverland tours (extra work may be available at the Coorong if desired)

Responsibilities include:

Leading and facilitating school-based outdoor activities

Conducting multi-day expeditions and education sessions

Guiding tours for Canoe the Riverland

-Required Qualifications:

Driver's License

Required certifications: WWCC, RRHAN, First Aid, CPR & NCC Certification

Certifications in kayaking (flat-water guide/enclosed seas)

Casual Maintenance and Logistics - Must be local to the area
Drivers License
Loading and unloading of kayaks from trailers
Deliveries of Kayaks for hire & tours
Experience moving and maneuvering trailers
Maintenance of Kayaks
Maintenance of property at Murtho
Possible Admin Work

Casual Dinghy Tour guide - Must be local to the area
Boat License
Amazing local Riverland knowledge

The ideal candidates will fill multiple of the above roles so if you have a love of the outdoors as well as all of the above qualities you are encouraged to apply.
