Unfortunately the tuna were a bit quieter south of the bay yesterday but fortunately today was a different story. We didn’t even have the full spread in and already had our first tuna hooked up and ended up going 4 from 4.

Sounded up plenty of kingys but unfortunately a 2 degree temperature drop over night turned them very fussy. We decided to resort to a plan B which resulted in a nice feed of flatties and 6 gummies.

Was good to get a couple nice yellowfin on the deck today on a full day game fish.

Whilst there has been reports from larger vessels of bluefin out wider, the weather conditions over the last few days have made venturing that far difficult.

Still good to see yellowfin in a bit closer, spread up and down the coast.

Plus a not so common short bill spearfish from the weekend.

Headed out over the weekend. Water has started to cool off but the fishing has still been good. Caught one of the biggest gummy’s we’ve seen & still the chance of the odd kingfish.
Plenty of good reports of yellowfin tuna coming in and a good chance of a bluefin.
