Our favourite place to be; a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, spending our days on the ocean with likeminded people 🥹 Here’s a few outtakes from some of the highlights from this week!

Our patience was rewarded at the end of the week with a calm ocean, and the first mum and calf of the season who let us swim alone with them for over an hour 🥹

We just said goodbye to our first group of this seasons freediving and humpback whale swimming trips, and what a week we had with these wonderful people!

From the first dinner together, a group of mostly strangers came together with a shared love of the ocean and connected right off the bat. Sharing the joy and awe experiencing these magical animals, and helping with some big breakthroughs while freediving makes this week even more special.

Thank you all for the most immaculate energy you brought the entire way through the week, even when we were tired and chilly! It was so beautiful watching you support one another on the lines, cheering on and celebrating whenever someone had a breakthrough to make their moment even more special.

WELCOME TO THE CREW

Thought it was about time we officially welcome Jordy to the Salty Pilgrims Team, as a Trip Host, Freediving Instructor and Spearfishing guide. Let’s give Jordy a warm welcome 🪸

Jordy brings so much knowledge and experience to the team, having been in the water since age 4, the ocean has truely shaped all aspects of her life since, I write this as she is currently living on a sailboat in Fiji ⛵️

She has been working as a commercial spearo for 5 years in NZ, studied Marine Science and is a diver for TV show South Sea Spearos - if you haven’t seen it yet, do yourself a favour and pull it up on YouTube!!

After completing her Molchanovs instructors course, Jordy is so passionate about helping people to experience how life changing freediving can be, as it has been for her.

She’s the ultimate hype woman, and you can be sure she’ll be right behind you helping you to pull a fish in or to collect your throw flashers 😉 Asides from all the knowledge she brings, she is such a caring and calming presence to be around in and out of the water.

Jordy, we’re over the moon for you to be part of the team and are so excited for all the trips to come.
