Here's a few pics from last weekend's dolphin watch cruises. A couple of natal pods spent much of the weekend travelling together. The juveniles and calves seemed to enjoy the social-meet. We witnessed plenty of surface behaviours from the youngsters and enjoyed spending some quality time with this season's calves!

It might be autumn, but the water is still giving us summer vibes!

Over the last couple of weeks, we've had some great sightings at Cabbage Tree Island and Broughton Island, including sea turtles, plenty of banjo rays, port jackson and wobbegong sharks and eastern blue gropers.

A few pics from February!

We kicked off the month with a couple of surprises!
During our Island Snorkelling Adventure, we travel offshore- regularly visiting our favourite site, Cabbage Tree Island. The water has been possibly the clearest we've seen all season- with around 15m of visibility underwater!
On the weekend of 7th and 8th, we encountered many of the usual critters- the blue gropers were all being their usual social selves. We had some great looks at Wobbegong sharks and Banjo rays with Mados, pomfreds and scad also plentiful.

Topside, our resident dolphins are also giving us plenty to celebrate! We have a couple of newborns in the population- born in the last 3 weeks, and they are incredibly cute and charismatic!

We kicked off our summer season on the weekend, with our first Island Snorkelling Adventure tours. The waters at Cabbage Tree Island were clear and warm (22' in November!). We spent quality time with the blue gropers on both trips.
During Saturday's tour we encountered a fever of Southern Eagle Rays, comprising two small males trying to court a large female.
On Sunday, we found four port jackson and 2 woebegone (6 sharks) all tightly huddled together.
