EGYPT 🥰
Our first departure was so popular, we are going TWICE in 2026! You've heard of the Nile, the Pyramids and Abu Simbel - but have you heard of Tunis and the oasis of Fayoum?

You won't see this on many itineraries, what we are doing is a little unique!
The small village of Tunis (‘izbat Tunis) is located in the oasis of Fayoum ,on the way to Wadi Rayan.

On each of our tours we have two nights' included here. So what we are doing??

Well first we get into 4x4 vehicles to explore nature's extremes. First through lush fields, orchards and vegetable farms - and then, the landscape dramatically transforms into the desert. This is where we will visit the mesmerizing Valley of Whales! Have you heard of this before?

The Valley of Whales holds 40-million-year-old fossils of ancient whaleswith legs. These fossils are a testament to the evolutionary transition fromland-dwelling to marine life. The site has yielded over 400 fossilizedskeletons, including a massive species measuring up to 18 meters long!

And then the town of Tunis is famous for it's beautiful ceramic pottery.
It was late 1960s when a Swiss female potter – called Evelyn Porret –visited Fayoum with her Egyptian friends. No sooner had she come across Tunis than she decided to build her own country house and pottery workshop there. Gradually, the ordinary village turned into a reputable center of a modern pottery. Perhaps when Evelyn decided to settle inTunis more than 30 years ago, she didn’t know then that she would change the future and destiny of a small and unknown village called Tunis!! Since we are all amount immersing ourselves in the country - we'll take a pottery class!

Have you seen the full itinerary for our 19 day hosted tour?
We have ONE twin share place available on the 1st departure (13th-31st March) and we have THREE places available on the 2nd departure (16 April-6May).

Email [email protected] or send a DM for the full details. You won't want to miss out on this exceptional adventure!

We had have some INCREDIBLE food on our recent journey through Europe!! It’s a big factor when we design our tours. We don’t want you to feel like you aren’t experiencing local specialties and flavours - plus, if you’ve travelled with us before you know we love a cooking class paired with wine 🍷🥰😂

In Croatia / Istria we had an amazing experience at Kalic Tartufi. First we wandered down the road to see the dogs hunt for truffles. Through the forest we walked and plenty of truffles were found! Then it was back for an amazing cooking class, snacks, wine, gin…. We’ll never have gnocchi like what we had here! Hand rolled, plenty of truffles, plenty of cheese. Was it good for the waistline, maybe not - but ohhhh it was delicious and we’d do it all over again!!

We finished with fried dough balls with truffle chocolate sauce - because why not!?!?

Plenty more experiences to share of our recent trip - but this was definitely a highlight 🐶🍷🙌🏼

Next week is our June Coffee Catch Up ☕️

When: Thursday 26th June from 10.30am
Where: Emilio’s at the Junction - 188 Union street
RSVP: comment here or email [email protected]

There is great parking at the Junction Shopping Centre! Emilio’s is where the old Hood Milk Bar used to be.

As usual, coffee is at your own expense but we will have more morning tea/treats to go around!

I know the photo is of ice-cream, not coffee - but how beautiful is the water in Lake Bled! We were here yesterday and it was warm! So why not gelato beige lunch 😉

Hope to see you next week!

Can you guess where we are?? 🤷🏼‍♀️😉

We are five nights (into a 7night) cruise from Dubrovnik to Opatija with Katarina Cruises. We’ve been blessed with great weather and it’s been the perfect relax/recharge before we power into the last part of our adventure.

Our days onboard look something like this…. Wake up for a leisurely breakfast onboard as we sail from A to B. Grab out a book, sip on a coffee as we watch the Croatian coast go by… then its time for a swim stop in crystal clear water, before we are back onboard for a three course lunch. Sometimes even a wine or olive oil tasting beforehand!

Then we pull into port, and take an hour sightseeing tour for a little orientation and to cover off the highlights. Then it’s free time for shopping, gelatos, exploring, sunset dinners and a wine or two.

We stay in port all night, so you get a great sense of the town as the sun goes down. There’s no rush! With only 20 odd people onboard, you can come and go as you wish!

Some of the ports we’ve been to:

KORCULA - stunning, stunning! With (apparently) links to Marco Polo, each winding cobblestone street was beautiful and the harbour was so peaceful.

SPLIT - a buzzing town with the Diocletian Palace and amazing bell tower. Our local guide had a beautiful perspective on these old towns. Without the people who live within the walls, without their stories and lives… it’s just stones. It’s the people that add the stories to the stones 🥰

METKOVIĆ - taking a small boat up the Nereta River and visit the Narona archaeological museum

ŠIBENIK- we arrived right before the international children’s festival, so all of the streets were decorated with the children’s self portraits!

ZADAR - with its famous Sea Organ and beautiful sunsets.

Plus we’ve visited a local vineyard for a wine tasting and tapas lunch, we’ve been serenaded by a local piano accordion musician … And we still have two more nights to go!

Here’s a few pics of our trip so far

‘BEST DAY EVER’ was overheard after this experience….

Our stop on the Peljesac peninsula, in the ‘town’ of Ston was one we won’t forget anytime soon! Famous after its impressive 5.5km long defensive city walls (second longest in Europe), but also the largest oyster cultivation facilities in the Adriatic.

From the charming fishing hamlet of Mali Ston Bay – a
protected nature reserve traditionally devoted to mollusk farming since ancient Roman times - we hopped aboard our wooden sailing boat.

Greeted by a licensed local oyster farmer, we had a short sail around the Mali Ston Bay before
arriving at a wooden floating dock among the oyster beds. We got a behind-the-scenes peek of different stages of oyster farming. It was wild to hear how the rising temperatures are affecting the oysters and mussels year-on-year!

After tasting, our host prepared a traditional
Dalmatian stew (known as ‘Buzara’) made of fresh mixed shells (St. Jacob’s cup, Noh’s ark shell, Venus clams, mussel and prawns). Paired with top-quality local sparkling wine - we had the most amazing experience!!! It was truly unforgettable (one that could not even resist the late US Chef Anthony Bourdain!).

Plus, we had ladies try oysters for the first time! And ladies who don’t traditionally like oysters, love them!!! It’s all about trying new things right 🥰🦪⚓️🥂

ALBANIA 🤍 MONTENEGRO 🤍 BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA

We spent three nights in Tirana (taking a day trip to Shkodër and Berat), then a night in Tivat - taking a stop in Budva for lunch. After Tivat it was 2 nights in Mostar, with a day out to the Kravice Waterfalls.

Here’s a small collection of the thousands of photos we have from the trip so far. It’s been interesting hearing so much of the recent history and suffering these countries have been through. It’s been fascinating to hear of the resilience and what they’ve overcome.

We’ve got a couple of special stories and experiences to share, that have all been thanks to our wonderful local guides. Stay tuned! In the meantime, enjoy travelling along with us through these pics 📸

Cheers to our stop in OHRID - on the Macedonian side of Lake Ohrid. The sun popped out as we kicked back to a beautiful lunch on the edge of the water.

And then it was time to work off lunch 😂 as we walked up (and up and up) the hills to the beautiful churches and monuments of the city.

It’s hard to tell you all the history and fun facts we are learning along the way. One of the things we love is having a different local guides in each city. When they’ve lived and breathed a city, you get so many personal stories. Plenty more to come in that front! In the meantime, enjoy a little peak at Ohrid 🤍
