Our Story
UltimateHire.com.au was started by two people passionate about the Australian outdoors, Cath and Shane. We aim to cater for people who are looking to enjoy the incredible outdoors on offer here in Australia in safety and comfort without having the large outlay required to purchase top quality products.
Cath’s love of the outdoors started as a child growing up in Samoa, it wasn’t until returning to Australia as a young girl that she begun to wear shoes to school. Cath continued her outdoor appreciation through her teen years as a minimalist camper, orienteering and hiking through the Australian bush with everything on her back.
Shane has been a keen, but slightly more spoilt camper, introduced to the Aussie outdoors by his parents, camping up and down the east coast of Australia from a young age in a Kombi along with his two brothers, sister and of course the dog. A keen surfer and bushwalker Shane has many years travelling the east coast of Australia searching for perfect waves and the serenity that time in the Australian bush can bring.
Shane and Cath now tour Australia as often as possible with their young son Arthur (who insisted on sleeping in his own tent in the rainforest by the Allyn River at age 5). With a comprehensive knowledge of the Australian bush gained from years travelling in a 4wd and sleeping in our trusty tent we hope that others will be able to enjoy the some of the same experiences we have been fortunate enough to have been a part of. From crystal clear winter nights in the Snowy Mountains, beautiful beachside summer stays on the far south coast of NSW to dry still nights in the Flinders Ranges there is much to see in do and there is always another awesome moment waiting to be had.
