So, today's the day it seems.....we are announcing our next adventure. In January 2026 Bonnie Rae and I are off to India. Only this time it's different
We are participating in The Adventurists Indian Rickshaw Run as Team Yaksta, where we will be travelling by Tuk Tuk from Fort Kochi in the south of India over 3000 kilometres to Jaisalmer in the north.
This might be a bad idea, the Tuk Tuk is no limousine. Making a whopping 7.5 hp with a top speed of 50 klm per hour, this is not a machine for the faint of heart. Let's not even mention the endless breakdowns, due to its questionable reliability.

Part of the adventure requirements are that we raise a minimum of £500 for Cool Earth ( see the link below) After that we can nominate our own charity, but let's just get over the 500 pounds first.

Help Bonnie Rae raise money to support Cool Earth

A great day on Newcastle harbour on Saturday. Two 14 year old boys guaranteed I would be doing deep water rescues.

The latest and great news from TRAK Kayaks . It was a Trak that carried me safely throughout my recent Scotland experience. If I could only have one kayak ever, I wouldn't be disappointed if it was my Trak.

When the TRAK team launched our crowdfunding campaign for our flagship folding performance sea kayak back in 2017, nobody was surprised at the level of enthusiasm that a kayak with real-time adjustable rocker could generate. The first of its kind, the TRAK 2.0 raised over $1M in just a few months, and by early 2018 our team was fast on our way to producing and shipping TRAK kayaks to eager paddlers around the world.

But anyone who’s followed TRAK until recently knows that our company has been no stranger to struggle. Almost immediately after raising enough funds to develop the TRAK 2.0 for global markets in 2018, TRAK was repeatedly plagued by global shortages of raw materials, pandemic-related factory closures, clogged production lines, and internal challenges that set our valued customers’ delivery timelines back, again and again.

Congratulations Neomie, what a wonderful achievement.

Okay so I have been sitting on this until it was confirmed as a true sighting. Here it is folks, irrefutable proof of Nessy. I was so lucky to get this image just as she appeared on the side of Loch Ness

Job done... I finished tonight around 6.00pm Scottish time. I had an incredible final day on the water. I have plenty of photos and video from today, but it's midnight here already. Thank you everyone who has supported me through my adventure for the past month. I'm so very grateful to everyone for the encouragement and help. I can't not mention Ashley Bennett and Louise. Ashley carried gear and helped me many times when I really was suffering with terrible back pain, without Ashley those days I would probably still be out there. Then there was Allan and Debbie, fellow kayakers, who stepped in to help me when Ashley and Louise hiked away from my pathway. My friend Paul has driven from London to help me finish, he's been there as my land support the past two days. I was so grateful to see him at the finish with a vehicle to pick me up. Without paul I would have been standing at the finish with no place to go. Scotland has stolen my heart I fear, unimaginably beautiful and filled with the most wonderful and welcoming people. It has been a privilege to meet them and celebrate this incredible country.
