These gorgeous ladies were celebrating a special birthday last Thursday and wanted a relaxing mid-week day in the vines. The laughs started early at Wild Ren Wines and we left with a boot full of goodies.

WHO and WHAT is Newcastle Backroad Tours (NBT)? Well, Hi! I’m Michelle 💁🏼‍♀️

For 20+ years I’ve been a travel agent in Newcastle - sending people around the world to experience amazing places… Creating tailor-made itineraries by working with incredible guides to give you the best, local experiences.

NBT is about switching this around, bringing travellers TO Newcastle! Working with best local operators (ahhh, they are so amazing and we are so excited to work with absolute legends!) we’ll be showcasing Newcastle as a DESTINATION. You’ll be left wondering “why haven’t we been to Newcastle”

From the beaches to the vineyards, take in the history but throw in all that is new in Newy. Amazing food and wine … we are going to put it all on a silver platter to give visitors the BEST experience.

World class surfing - and the attention of the global surfing community - is heading our way! In April, the World Surf League (WSL) kicks off their revamped 2021 Championship Tour in Merewether. We worked in partnership with Destination NSW to secure the new event that will offer $1 million in prize money across both men’s and women’s contests, and are grateful for their assistance. It's great news for the area, providing an estimated $15 million boost to the Newcastle economy. Stay tuned for more info on how, when and where to watch!
