Seminyak has long been one of my favourite places to stay in Bali — not only because it is close to beautiful seaside restaurants, beach clubs and shopping, but it is also near to the back streets for where I need to go sourcing for my store . It is also close to some of the island’s best interiors and design stores.

Over the years I’ve stayed in many hotels, but these three continue to stand out for very different reasons.

As a business traveller, I want to be comfortable with a little bit of luxury, and these mid-range priced hotels are perfect to stay after I have been out sourcing all day.

This store is known for its exquistely designed lighting and is curated beautifully with a mix of vintage treasures, artisan homewares and relaxed tropical style. It is one of the most inspiring stores we visit while on tour, and is much loved by designers, stylists and all of us sourcing adventurers! It is the perfect place if you're searching for a statement piece with colour, warmth and character, or just want to visit to be incredibly inspired. We head back here again in July and August, just in time for the opening of their new cafe too.

One of the highlights on the sourcing adventures is visiting the . It is always a joy to visit and play with the kids. It can be confronting and heartbreaking to hear the stories of the lives of the mothers and children that they once lived. However, over the years I've watched many of the children grow and become healthy, happy kids and the mums now thrive working and earning a wage thanks to the opportunities provided by Kiwi Kim Farr, the founder.

Today, all the children now have an opportunity to go to school and live in a safe place off the streets, no longer having to beg. And their mums all have an opportunity to earn a living in a safe environment. Whenever we visit the safe house, the children not only love to play but also love to entertain and perform dances - both traditional and contemporary.

Each day, dozens more children visit the safe house for a meal as their parents can't afford to feed them. All donations provided go a long way in not only helping the mothers and children but also teaching others that live in the slums simple things such as cleaning your teeth every day and providing them with toothpaste & brushes. If you would like to make a donation or sponsor a child, please reach out and get in touch . And/or if you're in Bali, go visit the mums at at the Sunday markets where they sell their wares and purchase something to take home. It means a lot.
