As a working mum, I know there are always reasons not to plan the things you've been thinking about doing. But if you've seen our posts and thought you'd love to spend a day in the Hunter Valley with your girls — I'm here to ask what you're waiting for.

My partner and I have spent the last few years building something we're really proud of. I know life on the Coast is full. I live it too. But I also know that the days we actually carve out for ourselves — really carve out, not just fantasise about — are the ones we talk about for months and years afterwards.

I say that because it's exactly the day we built our business around. My partner and I run small-group luxury w**e tours to the Hunter Valley — we're based in Saratoga, we pick up from anywhere on the Central Coast, and we've spent the last few years building something we're genuinely proud of.

Single, over fifty, and finding that the opportunities to meet someone have quietly narrowed? There are a small number of men's places left on The Grape Date, Sunday 16 August. The women's tickets have sold out.

The day departs Palm Beach Wharf at 9:00am by ferry, where Daniel meets the group at Ettalong before heading into the Hunter Valley. Two private cellar door tastings, a long lunch at eRemo, and home by early evening.

Ten guests only — five women, five men. The afternoon is structured so you have a real, unhurried conversation with everyone there. That's the whole point of it.

We built this after finding each other later in life. We know how difficult it is to meet someone in a later chapter, and how few settings are actually built for it.

$279 per person. That covers the return ferry, both private cellar door tastings, and every kilometre in between — nothing else to pay on the day beyond lunch at eRemo, which is settled at the venue.

The cellar doors are handpicked, and small enough that you're tasting in the room rather than at a counter with a queue behind you. Daniel has spent years building relationships with the people who make the w**e here, and it shows in the way the day unfolds — the pours are more generous, the conversations longer, and you hear the story behind each bottle from someone who knows it properly.

Single men over 50: there are a small number of seats left on Sunday's singles w**e tour to the Hunter Valley, and because it's last minute they're now 50% off!

Five women over 50 are already booked. We need a few more men in the group, and we suspect we know what's holding you back.

You are not the one who organises things. Fine — there is nothing to organise. We collect you from Crowne Plaza Terrigal at 9:15am, drive you to two handpicked cellar doors for private tastings, sort lunch, and have you back at Terrigal by about 5:20pm. You don't need to plan a thing, book a thing, or drive.

You're quietly a bit nervous. Also fine. No name tags, no standing up and telling the room about yourself. Ten guests only, half women and half men, all 50 and over, all local. A gentle rotation at each w**ery means you have a proper conversation with everyone across the day, without anyone being put on the spot. If conversation isn't your strong suit, Daniel will carry it — he's been doing this for years.

For what it's worth, we started running these because we found each other later in life and remember exactly how hard the meeting part is. Sunday isn't a singles night. It's a good day out in w**e country that happens to be full of people who'd like to meet someone.

We run luxury small-group w**e tours to the Hunter Valley, and this weekend is our first singles event for guests 50 and over. Ten people, five women and five men, travelling together for the day — two private cellar door tastings at handpicked w**eries, a long lunch, and a format designed so you genuinely talk with every person in the group. We're Kylie and Daniel from Coast to Cork — we run luxury small-group w**e tours to the Hunter Valley. We created this event because we found each other later in life, and we know better than most how few good opportunities there are to meet someone when you're past the age where it just happens. So we built one.

Ten guests, five women and five men. Two private cellar door tastings in the Hunter Valley, with a format that gives you an unhurried conversation with every person in the room. You come together, travel together, and the day does the rest.

For anyone that's been contemplating a day trip to the Hunter Valley, why not join us this Saturday? The Hunter is so beautiful this time of year.

You take the ferry across to Ettalong (the return crossing is included, and it's honestly one of the nicest ways to start a day), we collect you on the other side, and from there it's into the Hunter Valley. We begin in the Broke region — tiny, family-run cellar doors, vines as far as you can see — then on to Keith Tulloch, one of the valley's most respected w**emakers. The day finishes at either Thomas Allen, whose w**es you genuinely cannot buy anywhere else, or Vinden Estate, depending on the day. There's a stop at a lovely little artisan chocolatier along the way too.

It's a small group, so the whole day feels considered rather than crowded. Lunch is reserved for you at café Enzo (lunch itself is at your own expense, we simply take care of the booking). The crossing saves about an hour of driving, which makes a full day trip a lot easier.

We have 7 spots left for Saturday.
