It’s with a heavy heart that we announce Dunbogan takeaway will be closing its doors on Sunday 12/7/26.

This has been the hardest of decisions, however we owe it to our young family and in addition need to navigate a few other personal challenges of late.

We would like to sincerely thank all of our loyal customers, past and present for your support over the last 4+ years. We couldn't have done it without you!

We would also like to thank our staff, suppliers, trades and the general community that have made this journey possible.

We sincerely hope that the shop once again will flourish in time ❤️

Picture this: a quiet weekend in Dunbogan shattered by cars overtaking on a single lane road as tourists mistake our peaceful fisherman village for a racetrack, blowing past the 50km/h limit like they're auditioning for a Fast and Furious sequel!

Dunbogan is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it fishing haven, not a speed demon's paradise. With just one road winding its way in and out, it's hardly the place to unleash your inner race car driver.

So, if you're searching for a place to put the pedal to the metal, look elsewhere. The locals have had enough of the noise and the danger. Slow down, take a breath, and remember you're a guest in our little slice of paradise. Let's keep Dunbogan the peaceful escape it's meant to be!

Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a bike/walking access bridge over googlies. Possibly a footpath along the Dunbogan break wall. Better access for fishing and direct access to pilot beach. ☀️

This morning the B2bpathway Committee met with Port Macquarie Hastings Council PD program design manager, Mark Edenborough, to discuss putting a bike rack in place near the Dunbogan Boatshed & Marina . It's great to see so many cyclists enjoying the B2b we do need to provide a safe place for bikes to park. Better By Bicycle Port Macquarie
