Host a Japanese High School Student This Term 3! 🇯🇵🇦🇺
Would your family like to experience Japanese culture without leaving Sydney?
From 4 to 13 August 2026, a group of friendly Japanese high school students aged 15 to 16 from Kobe, Hyogo, near Osaka, will visit St Andrews College, Marayong, Junior Campus.
We are looking for welcoming host families to take part in this special cultural exchange.
Host families do not need:
• Japanese language skills
• Children living at home
• Prior hosting experience
Hosting is open to couples, retirees, singles, and families.
Students are excited to:
• Experience everyday Australian family life
• Improve their English skills
• Make genuine connections and friendships
Host families provide:
• A safe and welcoming home
• Meals each day, including breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Packed lunch and morning tea for school
• Inclusion in normal family activities and weekend outings
Host family support:
• Families receive $60 per night, per student to assist with expenses
Weekend activities can be simple and fun, such as local sports games, bushwalks, beach trips, sightseeing around Sydney, or shopping for Australian souvenirs.
