After one of the smoothest crossings I've ever experienced across Cooks Strait on the Interislander we picked up a car in Picton and drove a few hours south to stunning Kaikoura. This has been our base for the last 3 nights.

✅Hiking - Kaikōura Peninsula Walkway - offers spectacular coastal views, seal colonies, cliffs, and mountain backdrops. Allow 2–3 hours for the full loop or Hike Mount Fyffe for best viewpoints in the region

The winter months are low season in Kaikoura and many parts of NZ. On take 2 of our Abel Tasman hiking holiday (postponed from summer to be home with our fur kids). We flew into Wellington and have spent a few days exploring the city. Lots of walking along the harbour front, eating fresh seafood and quality time at Te Papa - highly recommend especially the Gallipoli exhibition. Bonus for me, free entry to the museum being born in NZ!

Today we're heading across to the south Island on the interislander. One of the most scenic journeys.

Looking forward to hiking the Abel Tasman track in off season.

Feeling incredibly grateful and reflective to have achieved TravelManagers Top 50 recognition ✨It was a wonderful celebration in Sydney and timed perfectly for the opening of Vivid Sydney!

Moments like this always make me stop and think back to where it all started — building my business completely from scratch, taking a leap of faith back into the travel industry, and slowly growing Travel Managers - Anna Curran to the business it is today, one holiday at a time.

Fast forward to 2025, and I had the privilege of creating $3 million worth of holidays for my clients last year. That number represents so much more than sales to me — it represents honeymoons, family reunions, bucket-list adventures, milestone celebrations and lifelong memories.

To my amazing clients — thank you. Thank you for your continued support, for referring your friends and family, and most importantly, for trusting me to look after something so important to you. I never take that trust for granted.

Holidays are precious. My last few days in Canada were spent road tripping around Banff National Park with my friends Rudy and Ange. I recommend hiring a car to explore the park and to maximise your chance of wildlife spotting!

Holiday was complete as we spotted a brown bear on the Bow Valley Parkway on our drive from Lake Louise to Banff.

I like to travel in off season - less people and lower pricing but you can't have everything. For example Lake Louise is still frozen until June so you miss seeing it's beautiful colour and there was still a little too much snow and ice for hiking in May. However, it was wonderful experiencing Banff township and the national park without the crowds I encountered 15yrs ago when I visited in September.

If your are lover of nature, spectacular scenery, outdoor activities and wildlife then I highly recommend a visit to Banff National Park.
