A note from Soph - We head off in a few weeks to take two groups through Italy and Slovenia first, and then Tuscany.
Our tours are pretty active; there’s a lot of walking and a fair bit of dragging bags around (Venice = no Uber and lots of little bridges to lift and drag our stuff over), plus bike rides and stairs, etc.
So I’ve been trying to get as prepared and fit as possible. And has been a big part of that!
Right now, I am doing their Ultimate Challenge from home. This one has us ‘DediKate-ers’ lifting more weight than usual… so just watch me sling those heavy bags into the overhead lockers without breaking a sweat (in theory ☺️).
I’ve done a few Pink Pelican Trips off the back of these kinds of challenges in the past years and really noticed the benefits. More energy to do and see more. Which is what we want when travelling, right?
Turns out showing up for 20 minutes a day adds up.
If you’re heading somewhere that requires legs, I definitely recommend checking out a membership.

Ps - This is the path that loops around Lake Bled in Slovenia. It’s a 6k walk that’s an optional activity with me on our day in this magical village at the end of this month. All that legwork from this challenge will make it a DODDLE! Again…in theory ☺️
Pps - If you want to do this with us, we’re taking our next group to Slovenia in September 2027.
