Broome to Perth: 14 Days on the Ultimate West Coast Adventure! 🚌✨

What a journey! 14 days, thousands of kilometers and we couldn't have asked for a better bunch of hard-core travelers to join us on this epic trek down the coast!

From the red dirt to the turquoise waters, this trip had it all:

The Red Dust & Big Industry: We kicked off taking in the vast shores of 80 Mile Beach before rolling into Port Hedland to watch the giant ore ships in action. The scale of the Rio Tinto Iron Ore mine at Tom Price blew everyone away!

Gorges & Reefs: Karijini National Park delivered those unbelievable inland sights, and then the Coral Coast turned on absolute perfection—perfect weather, stunning views, and a glass-bottom boat tour at Ningaloo Reef where we jumped in to swim right over the coral.

Coastal Rest & Wildlife: Carnarvon and Monkey Mia gave us a well-earned breather from the highway, followed by the dramatic heights of the Kalbarri Skywalk, the alien landscapes of the Pinnacles, and the charm of Geraldton.

City & Island Wrap-Up: We capped off our journey with a couple of fantastic days in Perth—exploring the Perth Mint, wandering through Fremantle, with some enjoying the free time snapping selfies with the quokkas on Rottnest Island!

A massive thank you to all our lovely passengers—especially the few colorful characters on board who kept the laughs coming and morale high on the long open stretches. You made this trip unforgettable! ❤️⛱️🥰❤️

🚌 Back to the Kimberleys!

Where it all began for Rog and Ali, our very first tour together was across the Kimberleys so it's always nice to come back with a beautiful group of travellers.

We kicked off the trip in style with a magical Cape Adieu Sunset Tour, setting the perfect tone for the days ahead. From there, we hit the road:

Katherine & Victoria River: A quick overnight in Katherine before taking in the incredible scenery along the Victoria River on our way to Kununurra.

Kununurra (3 Days of Highlights!): We packed so much into our time here! The Ord River cruise was a massive hit, alongside sweeping views from the 5 Rivers Lookout in Wyndham, history at the Durack Homestead, and the massive Lake Argyle Dam.

Taking to the Skies: We capped off Kununurra with a breathtaking flight over the Bungle Bungles, getting a bird’s-eye view of the Argyle Diamond Mine and the massive Ord Irrigation System!

The Heart of the Outback: Next up were Halls Creek (checking out the fascinating China Wall and Old Halls Creek), Fitzroy Crossing, Derby, and finally, the famous pearling town of Broome.

🌴 Relaxing in Broome

We wrapped up our epic journey with three nights at the gorgeous 4-star Mangrove Hotel. We visited Willie Creek Pearls, caught the legendary Broome sunset with camel rides on Cable Beach, and enjoyed a whole day to unwind. Whether it was sipping cocktails by the pool, heading off on a wildlife cruise, or taking one last scenic flight, everyone soaked up the tropical vibes!

🎉 Special Shout-Outs!

Double Trouble: We had another Roger on tour! One Rog on a bus is usually more than enough for Ali to handle... 😜
Thanks for Bringing Neil, our visually impaired traveller, and the girls of course!

Happy Milestone Birthday! A massive Happy Birthday to Lynn! We loved celebrating with you.

At Aurora Coach Tours, we always make sure our solo travellers feel right at home, and this group was no exception. Thank you to everyone who joined us for the ride—you made it truly special!

🚌 NEXT STOP: CAIRNS! (State of Origin & Stowaway Edition) 🐊✨

Another incredible Cairns adventure with Aurora Coach Tours, and let me tell you, this group brought the energy! 🎶

We had an absolute blast with an incredible crew from NSW. The timing couldn't have been better—we hit Port Douglas just in time to watch NSW take the State of Origin victory! 💙

Here are a few of our favorite highlights from this run:

The Evening Choir: This was easily our most musical group yet! Every evening turned into a massive singalong. Thanks for bringing the soundtrack, guys! 🎤🎸

The Legend, John: Every tour needs a John! He took it upon himself to keep everyone on time by being the absolute last person on the bus every single day. Keep us on our toes, John! 🥰⏱️

Our FNQ Stowaway: Don't worry, it wasn't Jo! We picked up a local hitchhiker—a Giant Orb Weaver spider who decided to set up camp on our side mirror for a couple of hours. Safe to say he was made very welcome by all the ladies on the coach... 🤣🕷️

From the beautiful sights of Cairns to the laughs on the bus, thank you to this amazing group for making it a tour to remember.

Aurora’s Cairns & Port Douglas Adventure! 🌴

Hey everyone, Rog and Ali here! 👋

We have just wrapped up our very first official Aurora Coach Tours getaway, and wow... we couldn’t have asked for a better bunch of legends to share this milestone with.

From the rainforest to the reef, here are some of the epic highlights from our time together:

Chasing Waterfalls & Mountain Views: We kicked things off exploring the gorgeous Atherton Tablelands, including a stop at the famous "Herbal Essences" waterfall (Millaa Millaa)—fortunately nobody tried the iconic hair-flick!

High-Flying Adventures: The historic train trip up to Kuranda was spectacular, but gliding back down over the canopy on the Skyrail was an absolute highlight.

Sailing in Style: Our day with Sailaway Tours to the Low Isles on the Great Barrier Reef was pure luxury. We had a gorgeous sailing catamaran all to ourselves, and a seemingly endless supply of w**e. Cheers to that! 🥂⛵

Rainforest Vibes: We enjoyed a beautifully relaxing morning at Mossman Gorge followed by some well-deserved free time to explore and shop around Port Douglas.

The Wild Daintree: Our final full day was spent deep in the Daintree Rainforest and out on a crocodile spotting cruise.

🐊 Quick Croc Update: We are thrilled to report that our crocodile cruise was a massive success... mostly because we managed to come back with every single passenger we started with!

📖 A Special Mention...

A massive shoutout to Peter, our resident Bush Poet, who absolutely brought the house down with his hilarious rendition of Murphy and the Bricks. It was definitely one of those unforgettable tour moments!

Thank You!

Ali and I want to say a massive, heartfelt thank you to every single one of you. You made our very first Aurora tour so incredibly special, full of laughs, and memories we will cherish forever.

We hope you had as much fun as we did, and we can't wait to see you all on the road again soon! 🚌✨

🚐 Capricorn Coast Tour #2: 🌊✨

What an incredible way to close out our second and final Capricorn Coast tour for 2026! A massive thank you to our wonderful group of guests—your laughs, energy, and shared "Aurora Love" made this trip truly unforgettable. 💕

We started our journey in Brisbane and tracked north for an absolute blockbuster itinerary. Here are just a few of the unforgettable highlights:

🏝️ K’gari Adventures: We spent 3 amazing days exploring the world’s largest sand island by 4WD, spotting local dingoes, and some of our brave adventurers even took to the skies for a breathtaking scenic flight!

🥃 A Taste of Bundaberg: The Bundaberg Rum Distillery tour and tasting absolutely hit the mark. A special shoutout to our resident Navy Veteran, Bob, who got his official rum ration for the first time in a few years! Thank you for your service, Bob. 🎖️

🌅 The Magic of 1770: We spent 2 nights in the only Australian town named after a date (marking where Captain Cook landed). Our pink LARC adventure was an absolute must-do, capped off with a rare and spectacular sunset over the water... right here on the East Coast!

🎭 Laughs & Luxury in Rocky: We wrapped up with 3 nights in Rockhampton, the Beef Capital. Footlights Theatre kept us laughing all night with their incredible talent and fantastic food.

🏝️ Keppel Island Royalty: On our final day, we were treated like royalty on Great Keppel Island, enjoying a glass-bottom boat tour and a beautiful lunch in a literal tropical paradise.

To our amazing crew of travellers: thank you for making this tour so special. We couldn't have asked for a better group to share the road with❤️🤩🥰

☀️ The First-Ever Aurora Capricorn Coast Tour: Complete! ☀️

What an absolutely unforgettable journey with our incredible group of trailblazing travellers! From world-firsts to beautiful milestones, our first Capricorn Coast tour was one for the history books.

Here is a look back at the magic we made together:

🌈 K'gari Magic: We kicked things off with rainbows greeting our ferry before spending 2 epic nights cruising the beaches of the world’s largest sand island!

🐢 Coastal Wonders: We visited the beautiful loggerhead turtles at the Mon Repos sanctuary, then channeled our inner pirates with a legendary tour (and taste!) of the Bundaberg Rum Distillery. 🥃🏴‍☠️

🩷 Pink LARCs & Sunsets: We rocked the iconic pink LARC tour at the Town of 1770 and witnessed a rare magic trick—watching the sunset right over the water on Australia's East Coast! 🌅

🐊 Big Flavors: From checking out Gladstone to visiting the Beef Capital of the world, Rockhampton, we even got brave and tried crocodile at the croc farm!

🏝️ Full-Circle Moments: We wrapped up our grand finale on Great Keppel Island with a glass-bottom boat tour.

❤️ A Very Special Anniversary ❤️

The absolute highlight of our final day on Great Keppel Island was celebrating two of our lovely travellers, Les & Ian Hanks, who honeymooned on the island exactly 56 years ago! Happy Anniversary, you two! Thank you for letting us share in your beautiful full-circle moment. 🥂✨

To our amazing group: Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You brought the energy, the laughs, and the adventure that made this inaugural tour so incredibly special. We couldn't have asked for a better crew to map out the Capricorn Coast with.

Until the next adventure! 🚌🌏

☀️ The Sunshine Coast lived up to its name! ☀️

What an absolutely spectacular way to wrap up the Sunshine Coast! We chased the sun and found it, along with a week full of unforgettable memories, belly laughs, and beautiful sights.

🌴 Island Vibes & Luxe Living

We called the 4-star Twin Waters Sunshine Coast Resort home, and it was the absolute perfect base. Relaxing, scenic, and exactly what we needed after busy days of exploring.

🛍️ Mountain Magic & Feathered Friends

We headed up into the hinterland to explore the gorgeous villages of Maleny and Montville. Between the boutique shopping, the indulgent cheese tasting, and the decadent chocolate tasting, our tastebuds were thoroughly spoiled! We also dropped into Bird World, where the exotic birds showed off their massive personalities (and definitely stole the spotlight!).

⛰️ Icons & Innovation

The Ginger Factory gave us a brilliant taste of local history, while the majestic, sweeping views of the Glass House Mountains left us completely in awe of this beautiful coastline.

🛥️ Living the High Life

Cruising around Noosa and the Mooloolaba canals gave us a cheeky glimpse into how the other half live! The river views were absolutely stunning and the perfect way to wind down.

🧵Crafty Arvo's

We stuck to our favourite rainy-day tradition (even though it wasn't raining⛱️ ) and visited the lovely, crafty ladies at the Buderim Craft Cottage. Suffice to say, there were plenty of smiles all around!

🐊 An Unforgettable Finale

We saved a massive highlight for our final day: Australia Zoo! Walking in the footsteps of the Irwins was the perfect grand finale. The best part? Nobody got snappy! 🐊

🎤 Final Night Superstars!

Our final dinner was one for the history books. A massive thank you to Louise for her show-stopping Tom Jones performance! Louise, your amateur dramatics certainly aren't amateur! 🥰

As for the rest of the coach sing-a-longs... well, let’s just say some of those might have been a bit amateur! 🤣🎶

❤️ Thank You!

What a truly great tour with an even greater group of people. Thank you to every single one of you for making this trip so special. Until the next adventure! 🚌✨

🚌☔️ Aurora’s Wettest Tour in History... with the Brightest Spirits! ☀️✨

They say you can't have a rainbow without a little rain, and our recent Sunshine Coast tour certainly put that to the test! It’s not often we get rain every single day on a tour—especially one with "Sunshine" in the title! But a bit of wild weather wasn't about to dampen this group's spirits.

Despite the downpours, everyone brought their best positive attitude, and we had an absolute blast. Here are just a few of the memories we made:

🏨 Luxury Base: We stayed at the beautiful, 4-star Twin Waters Sunshine Coast Resort—the perfect place to dry off and relax.

🧀 Local Delights: We indulged in the delicious creations at Maleny Cheeses and got up close and personal with the exotic feathered friends at Bird World.

🚂 Sweet Rides: The Ginger Factory was a massive hit, especially our ride on the historic cane train!

🛥️ Perfect Timing: The rain gods smiled on us just long enough for a gorgeous cruise around Noosa and some retail therapy on Hastings Street.

🎨 Get Crafty: A massive thank you to the lovely ladies at the Buderim Craft Cottage for teaching us how to collage. Everyone went home with a beautiful handmade keepsake!

✈️ Pivot! The weather did force us to cancel the Mooloolaba canal tour, but we traded the water for the skies with a fantastic impromptu trip to the Queensland Aviation Museum.

🐊 A True Highlight: Crikey! We spent an incredible afternoon at Australia Zoo, and the rain held off just for us. We’re pretty sure Steve Irwin was watching over us from above!

☀️ The Ultimate Plot Twist: As we pulled up to the airport on our final morning, the clouds cleared, and the actual sunshine finally showed up! Classic.

Thank you so much to the whole gang for making Aurora’s wettest tour one of our most memorable and fun trips yet. Your incredible positivity made it shine! Until next time!

Our Unforgettable Gold Coast Hinterland Tour! 🌧️☀️

What a week! We kicked off our tour with a massive downpour☔, but did that stop us? Not a chance. Instead of the mist-shrouded lookouts on Mt. Tamborine, we cozied up next to the fire at the Eagle Heights Hotel for an epic pub quiz.

Once the weather gods finally gave us a reset, the sunshine came out and the highlights just kept coming:

A Special Journey: We were incredibly honored to have Ian, a Vietnam Veteran, onboard. He hadn’t been back to Canungra since his training days in 1971. Thank you for your service, Ian—it was a privilege sharing this trip with you.

Fruit & Fun: Our fruit-loving guests were in heaven at Tropical Fruit World, enjoying a tractor ride through the gorgeous orchards.

Highs & Lows: We saw marine life at Sea World and then conquered the heights, scaling the Q1 Tower to the viewing platform for a stunning look at the glory of the Gold Coast.

Nature at its Best: Up at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in Lamington National Park, we got up close and personal feeding the birds and watching an incredible raptor display.

The Grand Finale: We wrapped up with world-class entertainment and the absolute best steaks at Australian Outback Spectacular! 🐎🥩

From rainy pub trivia to sun-drenched coastlines, this group made every single moment unforgettable.

Thanks for a great tour everyone, please share any photo's in the comments.❤️Ali & Rog❤️

A Grand Finale in the Flinders Ranges! 🏔️✨

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to conclude our tours in the Flinders Ranges. This journey felt like a reunion of friends, echoing the great energy of our last trip with yet another incredible group of travellers.

Nature decided to give us a parting gift that we won't soon forget. Seeing the Ranges transformed into a vibrant green landscape—a true 1-in-100-year event—was nothing short of magical. 🌿

Highlights from the Road

A Masterclass on Wheels: A huge shoutout to Garry, one of our guests and a retired geologist, who treated us to a fascinating half-hour geology lesson right on the coach! Understanding the ancient bones of this land made the views even more special.

A Moment of Reflection: It isn’t often we are on the road for ANZAC Day, and it was deeply moving to join the Port Augusta community for the Dawn Service. Standing together in the morning chill to commemorate the fallen was a highlight we will all carry with us. Lest We Forget.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To our wonderful group: thank you for ending our Flinders season on such a high note. Your energy made every mile worth it.

Scott and Holly have been overwhelmed by the beautiful reviews and kind words sent their way. As small business owners, those messages mean the world and remind us why we love doing what we do.

Until the next adventure! 🚌💨
