🚌☔️ Aurora’s Wettest Tour in History... with the Brightest Spirits! ☀️✨

They say you can't have a rainbow without a little rain, and our recent Sunshine Coast tour certainly put that to the test! It’s not often we get rain every single day on a tour—especially one with "Sunshine" in the title! But a bit of wild weather wasn't about to dampen this group's spirits.

Despite the downpours, everyone brought their best positive attitude, and we had an absolute blast. Here are just a few of the memories we made:

🏨 Luxury Base: We stayed at the beautiful, 4-star Twin Waters Sunshine Coast Resort—the perfect place to dry off and relax.

🧀 Local Delights: We indulged in the delicious creations at Maleny Cheeses and got up close and personal with the exotic feathered friends at Bird World.

🚂 Sweet Rides: The Ginger Factory was a massive hit, especially our ride on the historic cane train!

🛥️ Perfect Timing: The rain gods smiled on us just long enough for a gorgeous cruise around Noosa and some retail therapy on Hastings Street.

🎨 Get Crafty: A massive thank you to the lovely ladies at the Buderim Craft Cottage for teaching us how to collage. Everyone went home with a beautiful handmade keepsake!

✈️ Pivot! The weather did force us to cancel the Mooloolaba canal tour, but we traded the water for the skies with a fantastic impromptu trip to the Queensland Aviation Museum.

🐊 A True Highlight: Crikey! We spent an incredible afternoon at Australia Zoo, and the rain held off just for us. We’re pretty sure Steve Irwin was watching over us from above!

☀️ The Ultimate Plot Twist: As we pulled up to the airport on our final morning, the clouds cleared, and the actual sunshine finally showed up! Classic.

Thank you so much to the whole gang for making Aurora’s wettest tour one of our most memorable and fun trips yet. Your incredible positivity made it shine! Until next time!

Our Unforgettable Gold Coast Hinterland Tour! 🌧️☀️

What a week! We kicked off our tour with a massive downpour☔, but did that stop us? Not a chance. Instead of the mist-shrouded lookouts on Mt. Tamborine, we cozied up next to the fire at the Eagle Heights Hotel for an epic pub quiz.

Once the weather gods finally gave us a reset, the sunshine came out and the highlights just kept coming:

A Special Journey: We were incredibly honored to have Ian, a Vietnam Veteran, onboard. He hadn’t been back to Canungra since his training days in 1971. Thank you for your service, Ian—it was a privilege sharing this trip with you.

Fruit & Fun: Our fruit-loving guests were in heaven at Tropical Fruit World, enjoying a tractor ride through the gorgeous orchards.

Highs & Lows: We saw marine life at Sea World and then conquered the heights, scaling the Q1 Tower to the viewing platform for a stunning look at the glory of the Gold Coast.

Nature at its Best: Up at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat in Lamington National Park, we got up close and personal feeding the birds and watching an incredible raptor display.

The Grand Finale: We wrapped up with world-class entertainment and the absolute best steaks at Australian Outback Spectacular! 🐎🥩

From rainy pub trivia to sun-drenched coastlines, this group made every single moment unforgettable.

Thanks for a great tour everyone, please share any photo's in the comments.❤️Ali & Rog❤️

A Grand Finale in the Flinders Ranges! 🏔️✨

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to conclude our tours in the Flinders Ranges. This journey felt like a reunion of friends, echoing the great energy of our last trip with yet another incredible group of travellers.

Nature decided to give us a parting gift that we won't soon forget. Seeing the Ranges transformed into a vibrant green landscape—a true 1-in-100-year event—was nothing short of magical. 🌿

Highlights from the Road

A Masterclass on Wheels: A huge shoutout to Garry, one of our guests and a retired geologist, who treated us to a fascinating half-hour geology lesson right on the coach! Understanding the ancient bones of this land made the views even more special.

A Moment of Reflection: It isn’t often we are on the road for ANZAC Day, and it was deeply moving to join the Port Augusta community for the Dawn Service. Standing together in the morning chill to commemorate the fallen was a highlight we will all carry with us. Lest We Forget.

A Heartfelt Thank You

To our wonderful group: thank you for ending our Flinders season on such a high note. Your energy made every mile worth it.

Scott and Holly have been overwhelmed by the beautiful reviews and kind words sent their way. As small business owners, those messages mean the world and remind us why we love doing what we do.

Until the next adventure! 🚌💨

🚌 Desert Greens & Dusty Scenes: Our Outback Odyssey! 🇦🇺

What an absolute cracker of a trip! We caught the Outback at its absolute peak—seeing Lake Eyre full and the desert in bloom is a "bucket list" moment most people wait a lifetime for,
If you thought the Outback was just red dirt and heat, think again!

Mother Nature definitely got the "show-off" memo this time!

From the world-class pours of the Clare Valley to the rugged peaks of the Flinders, here’s a quick recap of the magic:

Lake Eyre/Kati Thanda from above: We swapped the coach for a plane in Marree and flew to Birdsville. Seeing the lake teeming with water and the desert glowing green was a total "pinch-me" moment. ✈️🌊

Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary: We tackled the legendary 4x4 Ridgetop Tour. Those views? Worth every single jolt of the tour! ⛰️

Wilpena Pound: Standing in the heart of this ancient amphitheater never gets old. Soul-soothing stuff.

Pichi Richi Railway: We slowed things down with a vintage rail journey into Port Augusta. Nothing beats the charm of steam and scenery. 🚂

We finished the tour in Adelaide with dusty boots and happy smiles. A huge thanks to our incredible passengers for making this trip such a blast!

We’ve just wrapped up an incredible journey with our wonderful travelers! From the bustling city vibes of Melbourne along the coast to Sydney, and every stop along the way offered something special.

Here’s a look back at some of our favorite moments:

City Starts: We kicked things off with the sights and scents of the Victoria Markets and a relaxing Yarra River Tour.

Steam & Nature: A nostalgic ride on the Puffing Billy Railway took us through the lush Dandenong Ranges.

Wildlife Wonders: We headed to Phillip Island for the unforgettable Fairy Penguin Parade and explored the breathtaking coastal wilderness of Wilsons Promontory.

Coastal Gems: After enjoying the waterways of Lakes Entrance, we dove into maritime history at the Eden Killer Whale Museum.

Local Flavors: No trip is complete without a stop at Bega Cheese for a tasting, followed by the unique and fun Captain Sponge’s Magical Oyster Tour.

To our regular Aurora travelers and our new members of the Aurora Family—it was a pleasure to have you on board! Your energy makes these tours truly memorable.

Stay tuned for our next adventure!

Proof that age is just a number!!!

We just returned from an absolutely unforgettable journey with this incredible group of spritely seniors!
We tackled the iconic Great Ocean Road, marveled at the Twelve Apostles (even when the heavens opened!), and explored the beautiful coast up to South Australia including Warrnambool ,Portland, Strathalbyn and Victor Harbor. We hopped over to Kangaroo Island and finished our adventure in Adelaide.
But the real highlights were the conversations, the laughs, and the amazing energy of our travellers. Though the average age was higher than we'd ever had before, you'd never know it. Their enthusiasm and mobility truly put a bounce in our step!
It was a brilliant tour, and the good weather stuck around for 'almost' the whole trip.
Here’s to many more adventures!" Thank you gang, we loved having you. ###

Sailing home with full hearts! 🚢✨
Writing this from the Spirit of Tasmania as we look back on what has been a truly spectacular final Tasmania trip for the year.
To our wonderful group of travelers: thank you for making this journey so memorable!
This year, we shook things up with an extra leg, and seeing Cape Grim and the massive wind farms was a definite highlight.
We also have to thank the weather gods, the sun came out exactly when we needed it for our big days at Mt Wellington, Macquarie Harbour, and Cradle Mountain.

A few special shout-outs are in order:

A huge thank you to John, our official timekeeper and spokesman. We all learned quickly—if you arrived after John, you were officially late! 😂
A very Happy Birthday again to Pam, Bob, and Fran! What a way to celebrate.
To all our new friends, welcome to the Aurora family. it was a joy to explore with you, and we already can’t wait to see you on the road again soon! 🚌💨

Our latest "Taste of Tasmania" tour has come to a close, and we’re still smiling. From the moment we met the sheep out at Curringa Farm to that final, unforgettable meal at Landscape, this trip was one for the books.
There’s nothing quite like seeing our guests experience the best of our backyard—whether it was pulling seafood fresh from the water with Tasmanian Wild Adventures or sharing a laugh over a crisp Huon Valley cider and Barilla Bay oysters.
Watching the sun set from the Wrest Point revolving restaurant with such a wonderful group reminded us why we love what we do. To our lovely guests: thank you for joining our family on this adventure. We all came home with happy hearts (and maybe a little less room in our waistbands!).
Until the next one,
The Aurora Team. 🥰

Happy New Year from the Aurora Team! 🥂

We hope your festive season was filled with joy, relaxation, and perhaps a little bit of wanderlust. As we gear up for another incredible year on the road, we’ve been reflecting on our own travel adventures.

While our engines were cooling, our team was busy exploring:
Scott, Holly, Seb, and Ayla headed over to the UK to enjoy a traditional family Christmas.
Ali and Rog took to the slopes for an epic skiing holiday across the mountains of Austria and Slovenia.

We’re feeling refreshed and looking forward to creating more unforgettable memories with you all in 2026. 🚐✨

Our last tour of the year definitely went out with a bang!
Thank you to our group full of characters!
Peter and Rhonda were our Tour Banjo Patterson's with their poetry which everyone loved.
The Great Ocean Road and Kangaroo Island gave us their best but the weather was controlled by our own weather lady, Helen had a word with the big man and the rains parted everytime we stopped! ☔🚦⛱️
3 Birthdays are a rarity on tour but we love celebrating, happy birthday Max and Faye.....Any excuse, Ali's birthday was the other🥂
The gramophone at KiKi had us all nostalgia'd up!🎙️
Enjoy the photos and thanks for a great tour all. ❤️🥰❤️
