From Snowy Switzerland to Sunny Italian Lakes — what an adventure!
Some of our lovely clients are currently exploring Europe and proving that even a few travel hiccups can turn into unforgettable memories!
After arriving in Geneva expecting spring warmth, they were greeted with temperatures closer to winter — sunshine, rain, 5°C mornings and even a few laughs about “warm” 12°C days! Thankfully, Switzerland’s amazing free public transport made exploring Geneva’s beautiful old town easy and stress-free.
Then came the road trip adventure 🚗
Scenic drives around Lake Geneva, charming French villages, alpine crossings, and the breathtaking beauty of Lakes Maggiore and Como. Along the way they:
✨ Wandered through picturesque Annecy
✨ Enjoyed lunch in Evian
✨ Crossed the Swiss/Italian border more times than they could count
✨ Accidentally found themselves dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant
✨ Stayed lakeside with postcard-perfect views
Of course, no road trip is complete without a classic travel story — including buying a Swiss annual toll sticker… for just 15 minutes on the motorway! In Switzerland, they don't offer day, week or monthly passes to travel on tollways....only yearly passes!! Luckily, some generous hotel staff helped ease the pain with complimentary drinks and partial reimbursement. 🍷😂
Their biggest travel tip for Europe? Always check your restaurant bill before tapping your card — a little caution can save a lot of euros!
Cold weather aside, this has been a trip filled with stunning scenery, amazing food, and memories to last a lifetime. We absolutely love following our clients’ adventures around the world!
