This week is all about - Emergency Shelter Building & Forest Floor Secrets!

together we are promoting collaborative problem-solving; understanding immediate needs in adverse weather; fostering resilience; deep observation of natural cycles of decomposition.

Activities include: quick, simple emergency shelter building using available natural materials and/or tarps, focusing on protection from rain/wind; examining decaying logs, leaves, and fungi, discussing how the forest recycles itself.

There's something truly special about gathering around a crackling fire in the bush. It's a place for stories, shared warmth, quiet contemplation, and learning responsible fire skills. In, our campfires will be a central hub for connection and curiosity. It's moments like these that build lasting memories and a deep respect for nature. Our Bridgetown sessions are flourishing fostering these very connections.

We often hear from parents how much their children look forward to these moments, building friendships and feeling truly at home in the wild. As one parent recently shared, 'My child comes home buzzing, full of stories and confidence from their time in the bush with you all! It's the highlight of our week'.

We love the dynamic energy of our mixed age groups (6-13 year olds) in Bridgetown! Older children often mentor younger ones, fostering leadership and empathy, while younger children bring fresh perspectives and boundless curiosity. It's a beautiful environment where everyone learns and grows together. This blend truly embodies the spirit of community in the bush.

And for our budding teens, we're seeing growing interest for a 𝗧𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻! If your teen is keen to explore deeper bushcraft and leadership skills, please register their interest on our website (or email us) if we get enough registrations, we'll open a dedicated session!

We're a nature-based education program for children aged 6+, nestled in the incredible Southern Forests region of Western Australia. Our mission is to foster resilience, bush skills, and a deep love for nature through child-led, play-based learning.

WE ARE BACK! ✨ Term 3, here we come! So thrilled to kick off Winter Wonders & Resilience today in Bridgetown with our incredible facilitator, Jen Barnett! 🍂

The forest welcomed us with open arms, and the magic has already begun. Seeing the children dive into new discoveries and reconnect with nature fills our hearts. Jen's qualified teaching background and naturopathic insights add such a rich layer to their learning. We can't wait to share snippets of the adventures as the term unfolds!
