CLIMBING ICON TO REOPEN ๐ŸŒณ

Good news for fans of the Gloucester Tree โ€“ the iconic climbing tree in Pemberton is expected to reopen by the end of the year!

Structural issues and safety concerns saw the tree closed to the public in 2023.

Manjimupโ€™s Precision Contracting has since been selected to construct a new lookout platform at the tree.

The new viewing platform will sit 37 metres off the ground, a much lower height compared to the previous 61-metre platform.

Many thanks to Greg Gibellini and Adam Lilley for their ongoing efforts at the tramway and also to our special guests Trevor Freeth and Phil McConaghy. Trevor and Phil's experience in railways and engineering was instrumental in bringing these modifications to life.

One of Pembertonโ€™s iconic climbing trees has reopened after the completion of works.

It provides a magical view of the Karri forest. There are walking trails, picnic shelters and gas barbecues and in Spring a myriad of colour as the wildflowers come out.
The site is wonderful all year round, in the wet or full sunshine.
