The symptoms of menopause include hot flashes, sleep distress, mood changes, changes in body composition and many more. As Oestrogen levels fluctuate it becomes more difficult to build muscle and easier to gain weight.
Here are a few exercises and nutritional tips for peri or post menopausal women.
🌀 Stop the endless cardio, because cardio by itself is not going to help you loose weight.

🌀Make weightlifting your best friend. Mix lifting heavier weights with less reps and lighter weights with more reps until your muscles feel fatigued.

🌀 Add in HIIT training such as jumping squats and plyometric exercises.

🌀Focus on upping your protein intake which helps with muscle building and repair.

🌀Your body process carbs differently so avoid or reduce refined sugars( pasta,cookies,breads) and eat low glycemic carbs like veggies or brown rice.
