West Australians are now free to leave the country without any exemptions. The problem is getting back in again. If you have ever wanted to go overseas for an extended period of time then now might be the right time to do it. Plan a 4 to 6 month getaway and borders and quarantine should be abolished here by the time you get back. Just short holidays won’t work at this point in time due to the caps on arrival and WA’s hard border. If you are in a position to get away then why not ? Here’s an interactive map of Covid rules and as you can see most countries are welcoming tourists who are double dosed and no quarantine. Current PCR test is all you need 👍

Small and family run businesses have been hit hard by COVID-19 and they need our support.

Sadly, WA is the only State in Australia that doesn't have a small business grant program of up to $10,000 to help small businesses and the thousands of West Aussies they employ. With the highest unemployment rate in the country, the McGowan Labor Government must look at grants and initiatives provided in other states who have successfully kept more businesses open and more locals in jobs.

Yesterday, I was joined by travel agents, who have been among the hardest hit by the crisis, as we launched a petition urging the McGowan Labor Government to provide support to their industry and other small and family run businesses. These hardworking people have kept their businesses open throughout the pandemic so that they can work through thousands of cancellations, but with no bookings on the horizon and no State Government support, they are essentially working for free. Without support, their businesses will not survive.
