✈️ Important Update for my Travellers 🌍

Due to the ongoing conflict and recent escalation — many airlines have had to cancel or suspend flights, especially those passing through Middle Eastern hubs like Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi.

This has created significant disruptions, with hundreds of flights cancelled and airspace temporarily closed as airlines prioritise safety and follow international aviation advisories.

What this means for you:

Travel Alert: Recent disruptions in the travel industry highlight why domestic travel insurance is a must!

A major cruise cancellation has left many travellers out of pocket—even with refunds—because flights, accommodation, and other arrangements aren’t always covered.

Cruises, no matter the destination, always require adequate insurance to protect against the unexpected.

Good news: Anthem of the Seas is currently being repaired in Eden and will be back sailing soon! ⛴️

⚠️ Planning a UK trip in 2026? This is a must-read—especially for Australians and dual citizens. ⚠️

From 25 February 2026, new entry requirements will apply for travel to the UK. Travellers from visa-free countries, including Australians, will need an approved UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before departure. Airlines will check this before you board.

⚠️ Important alert for dual citizens — particularly if you were born in the UK or hold British or Irish citizenship:

✅ British and Irish citizens do not need and cannot apply for an ETA
✅ If you hold British or Irish citizenship as well as an Australian passport, you must travel on your British or Irish passport
✅ Dual UK or Irish citizens cannot obtain an ETA and cannot travel on their Australian passport with an ETA
✅ You must hold a valid UK or Irish passport, or a passport with a Certificate of Entitlement, or you risk being denied boarding

This change is already causing confusion, with many travellers only discovering their citizenship status at check-in. If you’re planning travel to the UK from February 2026 onwards, it’s important to review your passport and citizenship situation early.
