🗣️ Q: "Hi! With Working Holiday Visa - what about health insurance – is it included? How do we activate it? Does it start from Italy or once we are there?"

Health insurance is not "included" automatically in your visa but for Italian Citizen there is a special agreement where they are elegible for Medicare (Australian Public Health System) for the first 6 months without extra charges.
Our tip:
✅ You should purchase your private health insurance before leaving Italy regardless or at least a travel insurance, or you can buy a private health insurance to cover what it is not included in medicare once you are in AU.

Wage Update for Australian Workers
The Fair Work Commission has announced a 3.5% increase to the National Minimum Wage and award wages starting 1 July 2025.
💰 New minimums:
• $24.95/hour
• $948/week (38 hours)
This change affects:
✔️ Workers on the National Minimum Wage
✔️ Workers covered by industry awards (hospitality, retail, healthcare, trades, etc.)
Already earning more than the new minimum?
Your employer isn’t required to increase your pay unless:

🚨 NSW Subclass 190 Update
NSW has now filled its allocation for the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) for the 2024–25 program year. That means no further invitations will be sent out until the new quota is released for the 2025–26 cycle.
📍 Subclass 491 – Pathway 2 Invitations Coming Soon!
If you’re targeting a Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491 – Pathway 2), keep an eye out: invitations are expected to be issued before the week is over.
🗣️ Q: "Hi! I’m 30 and seriously thinking of moving to Australia to start a new life. If I come on a one-year Working Holiday Visa, can I extend it to three years? And is there a way to turn it into a permanent visa later on? I don’t have formal qualifications, but I’m motivated and ready to work and learn!"
👩💼 Our Answer:
Yes! The Working Holiday Visa (417) can be extended up to 3 years if you do the required work in regional areas — 88 days in year 1, 6 months in year 2.
However, it can’t be converted directly into a permanent visa. You’ll need a new strategy based on your skills, goals, and job experience.
