Shuttle Bus Driver Position - We are searching for a lively, highly organized Shuttle Bus Driver to ensure the safe transport of our passengers. To this end, the Shuttle Bus Driver will be required to transport passengers to and from the Perth Airport (T1, T2, T3, T4, Cobham, Network, Skippers and other aviation terminals) in each trip, and adhere to all road safety regulations.
To be successful as a candidate, you should demonstrate strict adherence to schedules and transport-related legislation. Shifts will be determined the day before and working hours range between 15-30 hours per week. Starting times will be early morning to evening and shifts range between 2- 5 Hours per shift. Main shifts are from Monday to Friday, occasional weekend work.
Shuttle Bus Driver Responsibilities:
• Arriving at collection points prior to departure times.
• Collecting all passengers that is on the schedule, arrive at predetermined drop off points on time.
• Process and record payments.
• Avoiding high-traffic and accident-prone routes, where possible.
• Recording and reporting all major accidents and incidents to your supervisor.
• Checking that passengers disembark at the correct destinations, and in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that the shuttle bus is fueled, well-maintained, and presentable at all times.
• Observing all relevant traffic and safety laws.
• Maintain decent conversation with customers and assist them with directions
• Answer passengers’ questions in a polite and gentle manner
• Maintain constant communication with the manager in case of an incident or enquiries.
• Carry out regular check on the shuttle vehicle before and after each day’s run
• Dress in a neat and professional manner. This may be in accordance with the shuttle service company’s dress code or in accordance with the stipulated dress code for drivers operating in that area.
• The very nature of the job requires meeting different kinds of people. So, the driver is expected to be friendly but professional in relating with passengers.
• The driver is also expected to possess exceptional customer service skills to be able to relate effectively with his/her passengers.
• Have space to park a 14-seater Commuter van safely
Shuttle Bus Driver Requirements:
• LR/MR/HR Drivers License
• PTD authorization
• Clean driver’s license
• Must stay Wanneroo area (Close to Butler)
• Previous experience driving groups of people.
• Outstanding knowledge of applicable transport and safety codes.
• First Aid training is preferred.
• Excellent route planning abilities.
• Time management
• Great improvisational skills.
• Amicable and optimistic disposition.
• Working knowledge of a vehicle car
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Must be fluent in English
